Well I have only worked with Pinus sibirica and koraiensis seed so far but both need to be cold stratified and the outer shell needs to be roughened up a bit. The easiest way to do this is to put the seed in a bag with moist sand and put them in the fridge for 3 or more months. Check on the moisture every once in a while (every day if the fridge is used regularly)
