Pineapple block with foundation piecing video tutorial

Today's block is a very popular Pineapple block. I'm meant to do a foundation piecing block for a while so here it is.

Just a question: is there a purpose to sewing beyond the end of a pattern line? For example on A3, and those after that point, you went beyond, then ripped out the paper along stitch line. Is it to improve square angle shape and accuracy? I never would have thought to do that! Thank you for your videos; I have learned so much!

Well, that’s how I would piece it without paper. I would see through the seam portion too. I think it’s stronger

Technically it's foundation piecing but sometimes it's called foundation paper piecing. It's different from English paper piecing or EPP.
