Yes, I know I've made this before but I thought I would say a big thank you to you all for reaching 10k subscribers by recreating this famous dish, that and because I wanted to update the video. Not much has changed with the recipe but I did make the custard from scratch if you guys want to try. I'm still in awe that you've all continued to watch my videos and I can't thank you enough. Ingredients
Crust
2 1/2 cup white flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoon baking powder
4 egg yolk
3/4 cup butter (room temp)
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup milk
Homemade Custard
3 egg yolk + 1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup corn starch
3 cup milk
1 can crushed pineapple
If using custard powder instead, just add
3/4 cup custard powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sugar
3 cup milk
1 can crushed pineapple
Meringue
4 egg white (7 if you're making the homemade custard)
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping

Nice! My mom’s infamous pineapple pie recipe was the same with the meringue and crust but made a few changes, used whipped cream instead and different crust recipe- time saver. Looks amazing! Great job!

You can but your custard will not be set and it'll be a watery mess
