Great job Guys! I agree with your scorecard, but definitely a interesting go! Definitely thought the pineapple flavor would have showed up in your taste test! . Great to see another post and hope you guys have a awesome week! Cheers fellas 🍻🍻

I did watch Guga's video as I follow him as well. I honestly don't think I would try it, but I appreciate your test! Definitely interesting! Safe weekend guys!

Check out the ginger marinade Guga did. I did that one on a t-bone for 8 hrs and it was much more tender, I didn't care much for the texture. The small bit of tenderloin that was on the steak turned to mush. I was shocked. Great vid guys! Thank you for taking time to put these vids together, much appreciated! Take care

I cut them thinner and tenderize with the needle thingy. Have not tried pineapple but have used different fajita marinades. When done I cut them thin like fajitas and they turn out tasty

the taste is fine my problem is i get powdery mushy nasty surface on the meat having tried this with pineapple and papaya , not sure if it's because i used too much or allowed too much time but it was done on pork and i cant remember if meat was the same, although it worked great for my beef jerky

My understanding on the pineapple thing is that if you have a thicker cut like you tested here, whatever enzyme tenderizes the meat works its way in from the outside. If you let it in the marinade long enough for the middle to be tenderized, the outside would be kind of gloppy. You can kind of see that with the steak tips. If you had done the tips for a lot less time, maybe one or two hours, it would have probably had more texture. I wonder what would have happened if you had cut the eye round thinner and did it for just a few hours instead of 8. Nice to see it tested!

Great video!! Hope Jeff is recovering well! I hear pineapple juice will not tenderize meat if the juice has been pasteurized. So even canned pineapple would not work.

maybe next time try poking the meat all over so the marinade is able to better penetrate

years ago I learn how to make boneless pork chops into poor mans veal by marinating in Lemmon Juice the chops became very tender and with any of the sauces you could not tell it was pork
