My high school wind ensemble was about to play all 4 movements for our UIL competition but then Corona said "not today sir"

Those high B's in the horns in the beginning were stunning. Very well done!

This splendor of words can not arrive Especially no pine is as intriguing and captivating and heroic and inspirational as the pine of Via Appia

This arrangement is so amazing! Especially love the finale, it's so friggin' powerful. I love the orchestral version, but the finale alone takes the cake for me.

I've played in the antiphonal brass for this piece. A lot of fun. The Kalinikov Finale also.

The French Horns add so much sass to the first movement. That's the only way I can put it.

If you look at the playlist of all the music this orchestra plays, it reads like the entire Drum Corps International (DCI) music catalog....They've played just about everything Drum Corps have played over the years
My high school's top band played this piece but in a faster tempo. God....the piano part was quite challenging, but this piece is by far the best piece I had ever played at high school.
@patriciadebenedetto15065 жыл бұрын
it does not need to be faster....just precise and crystal clear....stunning writing on all parts

If only the articulations and tonging on winds weren't as difficult as similarly played on strings in the original orchestral version...

Who arranged this?
@Cherrierune7 жыл бұрын
Niels Defesche his last name is Kimura.
@niels12177 жыл бұрын
Cherrierune thanks!

I think this is the transcription from De Haske Publishers, with the arranger being, yes, Yoshihiro Kimura.
@windsofnagual3 жыл бұрын
I think Eiji Suzuki is arranger. TKWO didn’t recorded Kimura’s arrangement.
