Tribute to Frederick Fennell

Fennell made so many huge contributions to the band world. And so many excellent recordings, particularly with the Tokyo Kosei Band. A large, comprehensive set of marches that should always be available. Of course those early digital Telarc recordings with Cleveland winds were and remain demonstration quality. There's been no one like him since he left us 20 years ago. Thanks for this video.

Fennell conducted me and other bands at CSUN. He was pretty intimidating to me. Had a nice evening listening to him and speculating as to who would replace Mehta (nobody guessed Guliani)
