" I wish it were closer." I find myself speaking those words more than ever these days. When I was a youngster I had more places to shoot and hunt than I had time to make use of. Times have changed and the atmosphere where I live is different. The numerous family owned farms are long gone along with all the hunting and shooting opportunities with them. Even my folks homestead is sold off along with my personal shooting ranges. I still have the memories, but damn I miss the good old days...and thanks for sharing another adventure!

How do I get a Hull Hat (here in the USA)?
@silvershroud92912 жыл бұрын
I think TGS should do an overview of the Hull Cartridge cartridge range, there are so many different types etc it can be difficult to select the right horse for the course per say. Maybe include reasoning for opting for a higher gram count or lower 21 vs 28, including the 24g for the Pro Fibre. It would be worthwhile for new shooters and maybe some of the older ones looking for a change.

Really wish Hull would do the Sovereign 6.5 with a felt wad again. Pinewood looks like a fun place.

Hull in the East Riding of Yorkshire has only existed for about 800 years and was an important trading port in the Hanseatic league with the Baltic states. Nothing remarkable.

Not to denigrate anyone's talent or ability, but here out West we have a saying: "Once in awhile . . . . the old farm boy gets lucky."

Great looking ground and targets but why oh why do they use the old metal stands (loads of grounds do it) All you need is a few bits of tantalised timber and you’re good to go and not gonna accidentally damage your gun and they look far better in the landscape too. At least they’ve added pipe lagging, but the squirrels will have that away in no time. Just my opinion guys, still a fab place.

I was a member of the Hull Uni Country Sports Society long long ago. The club T shirts were going to say 'We kill small furry animals, for fun', just to wind up the lefties in the university union. (We were only a clay shooting club, but a slightly unruly one.) Think we ended up with a cartoon of Yosemite Sam instead.
@richeh792 жыл бұрын
Labelling everyone you don’t agree with as a “lefty” is a bit silly don’t you think? People can have opinions and thoughts on hunting without it being politically motivated. “Supporting” hunting by wanting a shirt with “we kill small fury animals, for fun” is a bit brain dead and you were doing nothing to support the countryside or hunting community. Crawl back under whatever rock you came from please.
@gonzo_the_great16752 жыл бұрын
That was what we called them at the time. Well, that was probably the nicest thing we called them. So I'm staying historically accurate here. Basically a bunch of students, studying things that gave them a lot of free time to jump on any bandwaggon cause that was around. It was also 35yrs ago, so that rock is long gone by now.
