My only comment is.... As a daily follower and watcher of every video you produce, Dan is a nice guy and good player but I sincerely hope that you include Lockey at the same rate as before. I love your content, I base my lunch in the states around your daily vlogs but I do hope this isn't a pattern of things to come. Lockey brings a very likeable, funny, human element and different perspective to your videos that I don't think anyone can replace. Keep up the great work sir.

Was at Irish open Jon Rahm About 6ft 4inches tall massive chest and arms looks like a very fit rugby player. Back swing short but very fast through ball and long follow through missed fairways but hit brilliant recovery shots out of that tangled rough. Greens were soft and little wind for last weekend he was very good with iorns and missed some 6ft birdy puts.

I'm torn here, because it is such a small mount of distance we are talking about, but I think you should always mark and replace from the back of the ball. Marking from 2 different sides shows intent to me.
@inigomunagorri36807 жыл бұрын
jim thomas He marked his ball on the side cause if he had marked on the back it would have collided with Im's mark
@andresdionis14447 жыл бұрын
That's right, Iñigo. But after Im's shot, he could have replaced the ball on the right of the mark because then his mark was not colliding with Im's mark anumore. I think he just forgot it and replaced it in the wrong side because you usually replace it in the front part of the mark. I don't know if the new rule embraces this, but with the former one this should have been a penalty for sure. Unjust, but a penalty. So, I am happy he was not penalised. I think justice is more important than rules, although without rules justice tends to be... let's say... excessively interpretable.

Can I come join you in one of these videos? I play off 14 and feels like too many videos focus on low handicap players. Comparing my shots and yours on a round with the same club would help a lot more people. Your shots are typically true hits, my shots would focus on ease of hitting the club i.e would a high/mid handicapper benefit from using them. I feel like you could use a tube of smarties and still hit it straight 200 yards.

Evening bruh! Nice to relax for 10mins after a long day and unwind while watching the latest episode. Rahm is a big chap right enough, glad there wasn't any trees on the course with his scud missilesque driving heh. Not sure how he would fair on a tighter course. As for the ball placement i think folk need to lighten up. I always take the view that folk on the course are inherently honest and are just trying to play a round as best they can. Sometimes mistakes happen, sometimes balls on the green aren't placed 100% accurately but as long as the person isnt deliberately cheating then is it really that big a deal

At first I thought Lexi was innocent but the video clearly showed that it was moved on purpose to avoid a depression on the green. On Jon Rahm, we didn't get that close up shot. Was it the same 🤷♂️. The rules are rules. That being said, I feel that it's that big of a deal. Take "Lift, Clean and Place" you can put it just about anywhere you like because of the course not being true. 🤔

Genuine question here about the prices of clubs, I know you've touched on this many times before but surely it's getting out of hand? Fairways retailing at £250-£300 is madness surely? I know technology improves and the R & D costs are factored into this but the costs to actually produce them doesn't change much... At what point does it stop? Will we have to pay £500, £750, £1000 for a fairway in years to come..?!
@MrOwens1237 жыл бұрын
Maybe something to do with the amount the manufacturers have to pay out in sponsorship to their respective tour players?!?!
@charliek86697 жыл бұрын
andy o Completely respect and understand that, but the tour pros are paid to use the clubs, what happens if manufacturers end up pricing their own customers out? Just throwing it out there as a thought, when does it get too much? Irrespective of professional contract demands... I really like the look of the G400 fairways, I just think manufacturers should also look at the price points... we the consumer are probably part to blame, they set the price and we just pay it so they get away with it, and the next series of club goes up in price again...

It was a great victory by Rahm yesterday. He is a very powerful young man. I was very disappointed that one two occasions neither him or his caddie called fore as it was travelling towards spectators. Professionals and there caddies have a responsibility to call fore as their ball goes towards spectators , he was lucky that no one was seriously injured.

6' 2" and 16Stone...he is a BIG boy and the short backswing, I am working with the same guy on KVEST trying to achieve basically that same position. Penalty - given the updated rules, no. Did he get it in the same position, no. Did he purposely improve his lie/position, I don't believe so, his fellow competitor didn't believe so, nor did the head of euro rule -- so its all copacetic. Dig the G400 driver, the FWay/Hybrid less so just looks wise. I still like my Adams tightlies. The Driver gets the most bang for the new tech piece here to me and it is still just margins but Ping also doesn't tend to "over hype" either so I look forward to giving the driver a run.

The question is, did the VERY slightly different ball placement provide Rahm with ANY advantage on such a short putt? I can't see how it possibly could. If officials hadn't previously made such a horrifically bad decision by penalising Lexi 4 strokes to cost her the win - no one would be up in arms about this.

Just a general comment, idea, not particularly related to this vlog, but you always stress functional over perfection, at what point does functional become an hindrance to improvement? I have a buddy who hits the ball well and at times plays well, but always has the ball back in his stance with his hands past the ball at address, forward press. Nothing wrong with it and it works for him, but I keep thinking that it is wrong. At some point there are fundamental positions, grip, address, stance that require one to adhere to achieve consistency and maximize one's ability. How do you address the juxtaposition of functional versus improvement? When is the quirks of one's swing a hindrance? To a degree, it is like learning to play a slice or hook. Yes, it is possible and possible to become quite good adapting to it, but seems limiting too. As always, love the vlog. Cheers brah.

I used to play with an ex county-level cricket player , in his 70's . His "hands miles ahead of club-head " style worked for him , but his driver was an old , tiny , metal 5-wood . He'd hit this 200 yards on a good roll-out day , the ball never going more than 20 feet high . If anybody had tried to teach him a more orthodox method he would have given up playing the game he loved .
