I have had Ping eye 2's,isi',isi copper,Zing 2's,i3,i3 Osize, i15 twice,i25 twice,g series twice,g series graphite, ping gorge wedges,g 20 hybrids 20,23,27 ,various drivers g30 ,g400 max. I have had a zing 2 copper wedge for 20 years.Currently using fetch putter....so definitely a Ping man !

Love Love Love my Ping 710 irons! After lots of delay because of Covid, I finally received my 710’s. Played my first round with them today and they are the best irons I’ve ever had! For those of you that think they won’t hold the green cause “game improvement” is supposedly all about getting the ball going long, no worries cause they perform based on your skill level. What I mean by that is, I’m a single digit hdcp and all my shots from 160ish in I was spinning the ball back. They are long and soar the ball into the sky like a rocket! I know lofts is what determines performance, but I’m now using my PW, where I was previously using my 8 iron with my Titleist 620’s. Yes they are strong lofted but it sure feels good rocketing a P-Dub from 150 past the hole and spinning it back. I did have a couple Mis-hits that if I was using my previous clubs would have gone no where, but these made my mis-hit still make it to the green! People “say” forgiving clubs you can’t “feel” a bad shot. Well that is total BS, my mis-hits I had- I new I mis-hit them, but the forgiveness saved me! My favorite shot I had today was the 17th hole, I was about 210 away with trees to go over and I pulled the 5 iron out and just hoped for the best, cause typically that distance is a weak area for me but not today! It rocketed into the air, baby faded onto the green and stuck the green within 5’ of landing! These sticks not only look sexy as can be but perform perform perform!

I want this set of Pings. I had Pings before they were the first clubs I ever had fitted, and loved them. They always did what I expected, now I wish I hadn’t got rid of them. Good honest review than you! I truly think that these will sell, they are Pings and they are now in black.

11 handicap. Had mine regular graphite shaft for 6 months now. Didn’t like them at first but when I let the club do the work they outperformed. I use one club less on all shots. Finish Still looks new. Best irons I’ve had.

I get the point that not stopping it is that it is player dependent etc but the fact is that more spin will give you a greater chance to take risk and other variables out of the game by landing on the green rather than landing short and hoping for the right bounces etc

Phenomenal review. Great dynamic between Mark and Coach. Unbiased review from Srixon Cleveland and Callaway endorsers. A twist to basic trackman that helps the viewer. I love my Stealth wedges, how the play and how they look. I would not hesitate to play irons with that look. I used to play the G700 when I got back into the game 3 years ago. I then moved on to Srixon Z585s. Now after a lot of work on my swing I am looking at the Mizuno MP 20 models.

In my opinion they look fantastic. They sound Fanstatic. My take on the data and review is they are excellent clubs.I think Ping do what they do very well but somehow have a lower profile than their competitors. If only my standard of play could justify a step up in clubs to something like these. Before deciding on better clubs I know I need to keep on with lessons and practice. Played ping G2s but hit them miles and heavy heads. Went S56 and loved them. Lowest round ever 80. Went Anser forged with pxi shafts and much better feel but hated look. Friend has just ordered these. 55 and he’s hitting seven iron 165 - he’s no longer too concerned about the offset

I Played the Ping Eye 1's back from 1982 :-) Later I got the Ping eye 2's.. Even if I play Mizuno JPX 900's now, I still use the Eye2's Pitching wedge and Sand wedge..

Bought i500's as was lured with distance numbers, but struggled with lack of spin. So swapped to i210's but were just too chunky for me. I ended up with the non advertised Ping iblades, which are amazing. Feel like I lost a year by switching around but now back on track. The clubs are just quality, love the Hydropearl, feel I benefit in the rain. An example of how much I respect Ping would be at the last Ping fitting day at my club Dunbar in October. Getting fitted for the G410 driver (over my G400), I was told by the Ping employed fitter, with a smash factor of 1.52 stick with what you have, the new one is no faster out the middle, it's up to you as a player to increase your swing speed to get distance gains. Never had that level of honesty from a manufacturer.

My first set of "good" irons were eye2, red dot. Hit a beautiful small cut. Now at 63, just got fitted for I210 irons and 2 Glide 3.0 wedges..56,60. Green dot. 2 Deg upright!

I was fitted for i210's last year after playing Golfsmith tour cavity forged irons from 2004. Although not as much 'feel' in the pings the forgiveness and dispersion are second to none.

Adding weight in the hosel has been around a long time. Peerless PHD irons had a "winglet" on the hosel maybe 25 years ago. One of the major brands then used it on one of their irons (may have been TaylorMade but I am not sure). As to looks, I feel the 710 is really attractive, but not quite Raquel Welch.

You’ve gotta love PING - they just quietly do their own thing incredibly well. I have a mid-80s set (3-LW) of PING EYE2 BeCu irons and stroke them occasionally before carefully putting them back.

I played G5 irons for a few years. I was fitted (static fitting in 2005) to a black dot at the time, R-flex CS Lite steel. I don't play them anymore, but they are the softest iron have (I've kept it all these years), even compared to the Wilson FG Tour F5 irons that I sometimes use.

I think the clubs look great! I feel like the American market is more receptive to loud and fun colors. I live in the south east and even a lot of the older guys at my course like to wear and use fun stuff. Black wedges. Rusty faces. Wild color balls.

Cobra has the white line on the bottom of their irons. I have the f9 speed back and it’s on them. Not sure how many previous models have it. It’s definitely helpful

Mark, it seems like your opinion on irons have changed. I’d like to see a video on your new thoughts. Specifically, interested to get your opinion on power lofts and low spinning irons/ball combos, which you seem to be playing now with the switch to Srixon. I’ve been watching you for over 5 years, and you’ve always been a proponent of more loft for beginners and an iron should have ~1k spin per iron (6000 for 6 iron). I understand that the lofts are strong, but the 9 iron was 39*, which is generally an 8-iron, so I’d expect 7.5-8k rpm, not 5500.

ball flight is a better comparison factor then just the loft number.. a 7 iron that flies like a 6 iron with a strong loft is in reality a 6 iron, but if a strong lofted 7 iron flies like a standard loft 7 iron, then it's OK to call it a 7 iron..

Definitely interested. I liked the G700's because I like to see a club that I know will help me. To be fair, in the next test, set the conditions to average and see if the approach holds.
