I also think it would be interesting to see a separate segment about what arts were actually used to protect. Caravan escort martial arts styles used on bandits and Village styles used to repel brigands and pirates. Good to see you traveling and teaching Will.💯💪🏾🙏🏾🥋

I agree! This is actually an old video I filmed in 2018 though haha. But yea, that’s a good topic to explore next time!

Would be good idea to have mini documentary about each escort agency . Each leader style martial art used and history of each

There was a great photo in one of those agencies, from the 1920s I guess, of a guard standing beside his horse, armed with a broadsword, a rifle, and with a pistol stuck in his belt - totally pragmatic!

Nice to see the 3 internal styles although I think that Yi Chuan is the fourth 😉

I am surprised there is not more interested in this. The Chinese Martial arts traditions are a great cultural treasure.

Just curious have you or will you do a video of modern styles of kung fu such as jkd, sanda and choy lee fut etc ?
@MonkeyStealsPeach6 ай бұрын
Haven't yet, but I wouldn't call Choy Lee Fut a modern style - its well over 100 years old
@Andrew-qy1kz6 ай бұрын
@@MonkeyStealsPeach it modern compared the the other ones…right? Also any plans on doing videos of them?

I remember mentioned you trained taijiquan for awhile but it wasn't for you. If I remember correctly, you didn't see how it made sense. From a chen style guy, you already have good movement. I think if you went to chen yu or someone in beijing, you'd find it makes a lot more sense now than before you trained mantis. Now if I got a $1 for every time I hear armed escort

I don’t remember saying it didn’t make sense, but I did learn Yi Lu and Push Hands years ago
