Pink Floyd’s ‘Animals 2018 Remix - Dolby Atmos’ on Blu-ray out now: PinkFloyd.lnk....
Collector’s Edition of The Dark Side Of The Moon on crystal clear vinyl out now: pinkfloyd.lnk....
This release is the latest from Pink Floyd Records, which has supported Record Store Day since the label’s launch in June 2016.
The limited-edition, one-sided Record Store Day 7” vinyl represents the last live performance of Pink Floyd with David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright all together in 2007. This special performance of Arnold Layne took place at the Syd Barrett Tribute Concert - ‘The Madcap’s Last Laugh’ (produced by Nick Laird-Clowes with Associate Producer Joe Boyd) held at The Barbican on May 10th 2007. The Pink Floyd members were augmented by Jon Carin (Keyboards, vocals) and Andy Bell from Oasis on bass guitar. After a star-studded line-up throughout the evening, Pink Floyd took to the stage for an incredibly emotional finale.
The concert was held to pay homage to Barrett, who had died a year earlier and sadly became the final performance of the band to include Richard Wright, who passed away the year after.
The single was mixed by Damon Iddins.

Well he sang very often on the early albums either the beautiful Harmony points parts and he had a few solos on those that he had composed. and I guess at this point late-in-life his voice sounded as close to syds as one could imagine for doing a Syd Barrett vocal. I love everything that Rick ever did , and of course his singing on Echoes and also on time , and us and them are all such really beautiful parts

Hands down one of the greatest songs ever written and performed. You have to appreciate Syd and the band painfully poking fun at a neighborhood pervert in Cambridge. The narrative and composition is so high level; strong enough to prevent it from being part of The Piper At the Gates of Dawn. Brilliant in every way

I lived through this period of the 60's and became a big fan of Pink Floyd and I still am. Sadly I was unable to see them at any live performance, one of many regrets I have. Their early songs remind me of a time of an unparalleled sense of freedom, love and curious melancholy, the typical growing up pains of a teenager. A freedom so poignant now as we have so little of it. Pink Floyds music resonated deeply in me at that time and is full of nostalgia today. Now their music verges on being classical and will no doubt be played as such in the future alongside Beethoven and Brahms and with similar reverence.

Rick still had that touch of youth in his voice. As much as Dark Side, The Wall, Meddle, etc are awesome, I absolutely adore their early stuff. It had such a bizarre pop edge to it. The timing is very odd, as Syd often changed chords quickly. Genius stuff, really. R.I.P. Syd and Rick

This leaves me speechless. So so great! I love how the 3 of them always look at eachother with genuine smiles….like they love eachother and love performing together. It would have been cool for nostalgia purposes if Roger had played with them but his big ego and narcissistic ways got in the way. What could be more important than playing at a tribute concert for Syd with the other 3. 🤨 so aggravating! If he loves Syd so much he should have played. I don’t get him being all put out by DG….if David had said no when they asked him to step in for Syd who knows what would have become of them. I love Syd….the story is just so sad.
