Great performance 😁 Classic bridge and FR style nut? Ok 🤔
@permanentrushmusic Жыл бұрын
Thanks very much! Yes, classic bridge and FR-style-nut...well, it's a "partscaster". The neck was first on my black Rockinger Strat (with FR) then I changed the neck on that guitar. Because I didn't like the original neck on this white Strat (an older Fender Mexico, only 21 frets), I mounted the leftover Rockinger neck with the FR-style nut on this one. I can't exchange the nut for a normal nut because too much wood has already been milled away. It's not perfect (tuning), but the sound is good and I really like the guitar this way.

The settings were very subtle: the speed was very low at 7 o'clock, the depth at around 10 o'clock and the mix just under 12 o'clock. The frequency was 0.10 Hz. Maybe the last solo sounds a bit more intense because there are two harmony guitars (no harmonizer but recorded individually).

How did you learn to play and how long did it take for these solos?
@permanentrushmusic Жыл бұрын
Well, I've played parts 1, 2 and 4 for many, many years (since the 80's) and only practiced them in detail for the recordings. I re-learned Part 3, just like I always learn: listen to the original (or isolated guitar, sometimes a very good idea) and try to find the right notes. Sometimes I also look at tabs on the internet or online lessons (like www.youtube.com/@GuitarLessons365SongLessons). The duration of learning varies. With longer solos, I learn bit by bit to memorize everything. Keep playing, have fun!

How do you add the backing track ?
@permanentrushmusic Жыл бұрын
Hello, I look for a backing track on KZbin (but sometimes there isn't one, so i use the original track) and convert the video to an mp3-file. I import this track as an mp3 into a recording program, which has that import function, in my case it is Samplitude (fairly cheap program, but I like working with it). There I can then run the backing track and play and record the guitar along with it.
