Learn by ear man, and your knowledge of scales... Gilmour mainly uses minor pentatonic, work from there. What's great about this song, is you can hear every single note distinctly, so you can figure out every lick by ears, or trial and error if you want.

Hello Matt, thanks for the reply.. My guitar is a Fender american standard, not the DG signature, it´s just the standard, with its original pickups. I only change the pickguard for a blackone. But you´re right, not cheap guitars.. I recommend you the fender standard made in mexico, for almost 1/3 of the price and really well constructed. It was my first fender and I miss her... But yes... only 21 frets.. I bring you my own experience: try to reach the guitar that you really need/want, because when you buy other version, you still keep wishing the first you liked, ex: I wanted a white strat (you can watch it in some of my covers) so I bought a white LTD, but it was so bad (in comparison with my black fender) that I sold it (months before): hard to sale... And so I bought the white fender... Sorry for the sermon... Find a decent 22 fret strat: fender blacktop mexico, am. standard, ESP (not LTD), Charvell.. For me, the best option is: an used american standard, in mint condition. Thanks for the support!

I think your "cover" caused a Vulcan mind meltdown for my little brain! As always, you pay such close attention to the smallest details with both the musicality of the song and your fretting efficiency techniques. The seagull sounds were so ethereal I thought I was at the beach. I don't know this album as well as the older PF & David Gilmour material. The passing of Rick Wright obviously saddened Pink Floyd fans, but I think it especially caused Mr Gilmour a whole lot of pain. Wright was certainly under rated as a contributor & musician by casual fan and reportedly Waters. The arguments of Waters vs Gilmour being the backbone of Pink Floyd are a foolish waste of time, Pink Floyd would not have existed without *_all of the members_* , including Barrett. +Davlos76, this is the next album I'll buy, and it'll be all your fault:) I guess the reason I haven't purchased or pursued the last couple Pink Floyd albums is because I just didn't want it to be over, even though I knew the Floyd was done when I saw them perform in LA during "The Wall" tour.

The Endless River and Division Bell used to be in my music collection but are MIA and I have a good idea who borrowed them along with a few more. If it wasn't for you reminding me I'd have forgotten! I can listen through some pretty decent equipment when I get them back, I'm pretty picky about audio quality.

DAVLOS76 I've listened to your Marooned cover quite a few times and it sounds amazing even with whatever compression KZbin uses. At your suggestion I played it back through some Sennheiser and Grado headphones, as well as my regular audio system-it all sounds beautiful, man! I've also read the description, Abdullah has been very generous to me too ( look at the replies under his comfortably numb cover) he offered to evaluate my playing to offer some insight and advice! One of the things I really love about music is the sense of community it brings! People from all over and all walks of life can get together to speak to one another without the barriers of languages, politics, etc getting in the way. It's certainly changed my life for the better over the past 2-3 years. One question about the Line 6 POD, do you ever experience weird little artifacts with it? I've got the POD 2.0 with the latest firmware, but sometimes it throws some extra sounds in that I don't think should be there or it'll just sound "off". I can switch to a modeling setting on my Roland Cube 80 and get a better sound quality. It might be as simple as dated technology that I'm hearing. If I need overdrive I use a Keeley overdrive pedal. I´ll be honored to send you the original audio if you want it.. The guitar playing changed my life, but if you want, we can talk about this things on private, for example: i want to know your age, profession, and other things if you don´t might. I can play better because the pod HD500 and recently learn to record by line: there you can minimize the weird noises. I tell you 2 things to avoid extra noise: use of noise gate and FX loop: this two things help you to minimize the problem. I had a pocket pod, and the quality in comparison with the HD500 is light years... I really don´t know the POD 2.0, sorry. Thanks again and keepin touch!
