Having literally grown up listening to Floyd and tying some of my deepest memories to their music, the original of this song brings me to tears without fail every time I hear it. I love this song...I can listen to it over and over, but when i hear this video of her playing it...i get chills and goosebumps...i get them so bad that tears come to my eyes EVERY TIME! This is so emaculate and beautiful. Don't get me wrong, Floyd is the bomb, but...to hear her play it on piano....OMG. Words cannot justify the majesty of her talent. I will listen to this again, and yet again, and again. Vika is AMAZING!!!!!

Richard Wright wrote the lovely organ opening to 'On The Turning Away' that VK played at the start of this video. Unfortunately David Gilmour decided not to include Wright's opening on the Momentary Lapse of Reason album, explaining that he felt the opening somehow did not fit with the music on the album. Mistake.On recordings of Pink Floyd live performances we can often hear variations of Wright's lovely organ opening to Us And Them, which is not on the original DSofM album.

I've been playing for about 30 years now and Pink Floyd is my favorite band. That was nothing less than fantastic. I think the late Rick Wright would have been extremely impressed too. Thanks for a clear and easy to follow video, I'm going to learn this as soon as possible.

A great cover is one that has the gist of the original with originality of the person doing the cover. Which you do. Your interpretations are great. Don't listen to the people who say there is too long a pause between certain notes. No one wants to listen to a cover exactly like the original. if you do, get the original. You are great!!!

Pink Floyd should have done more with Richard Wright's beautiful organ lead-in to this song. It is great that Viki included Wright's lead-in, because most covers omit it. I was hoping that Viki might have elaborated and extended Wright's lead-in, but she does a great job interpreting it on the piano (especially with her left hand).

@pineapplez342 She's playing a Roland RD-700GX, you can look it up. It has weighted keys, and is very comfortable and piano-like. Perhaps one of the best key actions around for a digital piano.
