The whole pulse concert is off the charts excellent, every song, each member gets their time, every song different display and surprise.

The big disco ball is highly symbolic. First of all, it wasn't seen until the lights spotted it. It was simply not there! Hidden in a box in the ceilling. So when it got lit, you can understand why the audience went wild. And then, when it opened up and showed the shining diamond that's inside, a direct reference to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" (which refer to Syd Barrett), the fans understood! Genius! What's more? This is one of the 3 songs they in the « encore ».

The Pulse concert was filmed at Earl's Court; London - I was there for three nights, 17 rows from the front! By the time they reached this song, they had already been playing for 2 and a quarter hours. David Gilmour was clearly a man 100% in tune with his instrument - and if that solo had been 20 times longer, NOBODY would have cared. Please, do yourself a favour, and take yourself to a darkened room with a comfy chair and whatever drinks/snacks you desire, and watch the whole concert in one sitting. You will not regret it.

Welcome, brother! By fate or kismet, you've stumbled upon a truly LEGENDARY concert. PULSE was Pink Floyd's final tour, to support "The Division Bell", which turned out to be their final studio album. It was the most expensive tour in history to that point, and it's rarely been equaled since. This concert was first released as a CD (The name "PULSE" came from the fact that the initial CD release had a red LED in the spine that flashed, or 'pulsed'.) before being released on DVD, and then Blu-Ray. The entire concert is just brain-melting, every song they performed that night is amazing. Uniformly excellent from start to finish. I had the pleasure of seeing this tour at Sun Devil Stadium with 65,000 friends, and the performance was even better than it looks. Floyd placed speakers all around the perimeter of the venue, so sound came at you from everywhere. And the lights - So Many Lights! - were very tightly synced to the music. It was almost like they were another performer. That night Pink Floyd brought their own reality, and for three hours they let us visit them there. Feel free to mine these performances, they won't disappoint. "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" or "Wish You Were Here", about missing their former band-mate, Syd Barrett, or "High Hopes", a wistful look back from middle age, or "Sorrow" with David Gilmour's masterful blues guitar work. "Time", about birth, life, and death, or "Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2)" about school days, or "Run Like Hell", typically the concert's pounding finale. On some lucky nights, the crowd was even treated to a live performance of the band's 1973 masterpiece album, "The Dark Side Of The Moon" from start to finish. PULSE is a rabbit hole worth going down. I hope you explore it further.

That's Earls Court in London seats almost 20,000. They sold this show out 15 nights in a row with that many people each night. You should try either "High Hopes" or "Run Like Hell" or even "Sorrow" next from the same concert!!

...and Run Like Hell, and all of Dark Side of the Moon and..., ah hell, just do the whole concert!

No band on earth like Pink Floyd, they're on another level! Pink Floyd the band is only 3 people here in 1994, David Gilmour, (guitar and lead vocals), Nick Mason, (drums), and Rick Wright, (keyboards, vocals). The rest of the musicians and singers are Floyds touring band for that time period. Mason and Wright are co-founders of Pink Floyd in 1964, Gilmour joined the band in late1967. This concert, (Pulse Concert), was one of the last few shows of Pink Floyd "The Division Bell" world tour in 1994, it was at Earls Court in London. The tour consisted of around 116 concerts in approximately 66 cities in 17 countries.

It was Earls Court in London. I attended two of those gigs and indeed they were fantastic. No phones in those days! Just people caught up in the moment.

One of the best live performances of all time, that solo is timeless. Check out High Hopes from the same tour, it's transcendental.

I recommend you watch it again but this time watch the re-edited version to see David playing in all his glory. To think this song was sandwich between Wish You Were Here and Run Like Hell… what a way to end the greatest concert ever 🎸🔥

This was 1994, 23 years earlier in 1971 they performed the Meddle album live to the ghosts in the empty Roman ampitheatre at Pompeii......and the music quality was just as good as this concert, but just the 4 of them, no light show and no backing singers / musicians. Echoes live at Pompeii, parts 1 & 2 ,or do the whole album / concert.

You have to do all the songs from this concert. There are many more show stoppers you must see. Sorrow. High Hopes. Great gig in the sky. Run like Hell. I’m telling you that you have never seen better live music to this day. Pulse was in 1994. 30 years ago!

Went to about half a dozen of the Earls Court gigs. Every night a gem. Saw them first 30 odd years earlier supporting Hendrix and The Move in a small hall down in Kent. 15/- a ticket

You should do a series of reactions just to the different tunes from this concert. Pink Floyd are/were technologically light years ahead of all with stage performance. This show (+30 years old) cost 25 million just for the staging and the lighting. It is an immersive experience. This show--the band was at the top of their skills. One of the best live concert shows filmed. Enjoy the ride.

You are the first reactor to notice the big circular screen being lowered. I get nervous still every time I see it. I've watched this video and the whole Pulse concert a thousand times minimum. It still takes me thru many different emotions. The solo here was actually edited. It was about 90 seconds longer. I think this shortened version is better. I am subscribing!

Great reaction! I love this performance so much it hurts. I wanted to let you know that your personal audio is quite a bit louder than the music, so when I turn up the music to hear it it gets to be a shock when you comment as it’s so loud, comparatively. It might be just my own audio setup but I don’t think so. It’s all good, as all I’ve got t do is listen to the song at a lower volume- I’ll survive ha ha. Cheers
