There are 2 drummers: Nick Mason (who doesn’t jump) and Gary Wallis (the “jumper”. They each have an impressive drum kit.

I have seen Pink Floyd Live 4 times… I saw this same show Syracuse Carrier Dome in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap froged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all.

Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"... I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. Hard to explain how awesome that moment was in my life. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen. I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible. The Red Fender Stratocaster he used for this concert in the Guitar Collector World is ....PRICELESS

as a person who has P.F. 7 times. When the concert was over it was very quite when leaving as people were stunned what they just saw.

With their last two tours (Delicate Sound Of Thunder), and this one (The Division Bell tour- which became the pulse live album release), they included extremely talented additional musicians, for everything but the bassist Guy Pratt, to better recreate the studio sounds and overdubs without using recordings. Drummer Nick Mason was backed by Gary Wallis, keyboardist Richard Wright (RIP) accompanied by Jon Carin, and Guitarist David Gilmour was enhanced by Tim Renwick. Also a shoutout to the amazing background singers Sam Brown, Durga McBroom, and Claudia Fontaine (RIP). Keep in mind that this took place nearly 30 years ago (and 25 years after they formed), and it's even more incredible. Collectively, they recreate to perfection, and then further enhance every song to another, even higher, level. This tour (Pulse) outshines, IMHO, any other in history. There has never been, is not now, or will ever be in the future a cosmic convergence of talent.

Well said! - 100% this... Pulse is absolutely transcendent as a result of the amazing efforts that PF and their stage technicians / support went to, and every one of these performances are must-watches... Lost track of how many times I've listened to every one of them! 😍

This whole concert was AMAZING, I know, I was there in Foxboro MA 1994 ! Unfortunately I don't remember much but me and my friends had an awesome time before, during and after the show! I had to buy the DVD so I could remember how epic it was!

Wish you were here is a superb album. Ive been addicted to PF since i was 9yrs old, now 60yrs and still loving them. This song comes from 'A Momentary Laps Of Reason'. I was at the Pulse concert. In fact, i went four times! Please listen to 'Wish you were here.' i guarantee it will end up next to Dark Side as it is just as good. 😊

While Pink Floyds lyrics take over your concisions mind the instrumentation has a conversation with your subconscious mind. All you can do is stare strait ahead in a trance and watch the band David perform in his plain black T Shirt (You're in good company). Great Reaction.

If Dark Side Of The Moon is your only one reference to Pink Floyd, you had a tremendous jumpstart, but hit the fence after 5 seconds, so to speak. Man have you got a job to do! And the most pleasant job in the world! They had several classic albums. Each stood on their own. And each had not one bad track on them. Whatever Pink Floyd ever created is, like this performance and like The Dark Side Of The Moon, the best of the best. Have a heavenly journey, ecperiencing their music. I just want to point out two songs (which is blasphemy, I know): Echoes and Shine On You Crazy Diamond, parts 1-5 (ánd Shine On You Crazy Diamond, parts 6-9). After that you only will stop looking for more when you have heard everything from them. Have a blast and let us witness it...

A little fun fact, information for you the album, dark side of the Moon was jointly produced, engineered, and directed by a gentleman of the name Alan parson you may, or may not know who he is for many years. He was simply a behind the scenes, music, engineer, and people in his Circle talked him into begin performing his own music. That’s the Alan parsons Project. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with him but if you listen to some of Alan Parsons music, you will see the similarities him and David Gilmour were pretty good friends and highly respected his creativity

Questa versione dal live PULSE del 1994 è la più bella che esista. Migliore persino dall'originale di studio dall'album A MOMENTARY LAPSE OF REASON del 1987. Saluti dall'Italia 🇮🇹

I grew up on Pink Floyd, my #1 favorite since I was a young teen over 50 years ago. Pink Floyd and David Gilmour are the whole reason (and pretty much the only reason), that I just had to get a Fender Stratocaster and teach myself how to play it because after hearing Sir Dave, I just couldn't NOT get one. The power of Floyd compelled me.

did u really just pause THIS song in the middle of the ending??? u cannot do that.. Floyd is famous for both intro and outtro.. u cant pause during those moments.. i will garantee that 99% of Floyd fans r here ONLY to hear that, uninterrupted, that crying guitar grabs the soul

Unfortunately, so i heared, this concert was the last they played with this line-up. And they did it so well that I believe over and over again that you can't do a better live concert. And that was in 1994. Other bands are great too, of course. Led Zeppeln, Queen, Rolling Stone, The Who and so on. But this here... mmmmmmmmm
