My friend, the emotional impact comes when you feel that blend between the genuine poetry and the way these spectacular musicians made the instruments speak to you on a truly visceral level. Modern music simply doesn’t connect the same way. David Gilmour never learned to read music. Everything you hear him pouring out of that guitar is simply him knowing instinctively where to put his fingers to create the sound path he is hearing in his head. Pink Floyd is literally the greatest music of all time. More because it’s an experience, not just music. Know what I mean?? You simply can’t escape the message in either the lyrics or the instruments. When Gilmour starts to talk to you through his guitar, it is an inescapable communication and even though there are no words, your body feels exactly what is being said. It’s amazing. Nothing has ever come along since to equal the emotional experience created by Pink Floyd. Nothing.

Richard and Daves voices went so well together...I think that made Roger jealous.

I went to my 1st Pink Floyd concert at the Fox theater in Atlanta GA. It was Dark Side of the Moon. I was 16 and was changed forever!!

If you do "High Hopes" from the live PULSE gig (as others suggest), do the recent remix/re-edited version from 2019 as it has more of Gilmour on the Jedson lap steel guitar at the end (the original didn't focus enough on him). This is it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnWuga1sgKlrnNU

Time is one of my all time favorite from the the Floyd. The lyrics are just amazing. You can sit back with headphones on, close your eyes and listen. It is just an amazing song.

Went to a Pink Floyd concert in the eighties. Probably one of the best concerts I've ever went to. The light show itself was well worth it. Brings back old memories.Were there was know hate but the love of music that brought people together.

D. Mont, it warms my heart to see your reactions to bands that were my heroes back in the early 70s when I was your age. It speaks to our kinship as humans when sharing music transcends generational, geographical and ethnic divides. Welcome to the 70s, brother!

One of the best live performances I ever heard was ,Pink Floyd. They are as awesome live as in studio.

Definitely need to listen to the whole album without interruption ... with or without recording a reaction. You owe it to yourself to experience the entire album.

It's been great watching along with you. Just my opinion, but. I think you should do "Echoes" ( live pompeii 1972), then The Dark Side Of The Moon" ;(album). it's only 20 minutes per side (5 songs), so you could probably do it in 2 videos. This album was intended to be listened to from beginning to end, each song blends together as another chapter in the story (I think I will get many thumbs up for this suggestion. LOL. Just saying that we all know you love Floyd, so how do we help you get the best experience becomes the question.
@gbsailing94364 жыл бұрын
NO!!! IF YOU ARE GOING TO EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING ECHOES...THEN YOU HAVE TO DO THE AUDIO VERSION WITH ALL THE EXTRA AUDIO STUFF BUILT INTO THAT SONG/RECORDING!!!

Got the privilege to see them. I've never been to any other concert where I saw grand pa and grand kids together to appreciate the music and visual. Just like the Beatles, Floyd, James Brown and too many to name. The sound and lyrics will always be current to true souls. Boom!

It does my heart good to see a new generation get turned on to Pink Floyd. My first experience was at an outdoor festival in Germany in the mid 1970's. I was stationed in Spain and a bunch of us piled into a VW microbus and headed to Frankfurt. One trip I will never forget.
