Pink Floyd is Legendary, formed in London in 1964 they have sold hundreds of millions of albums worldwide, and counting. One of the GOAT Rock bands ever, top three in my view, and many Rock Critics view too! Yeah, another vote for their 1994 Pulse concert at Earls Court, London, it's a incredible live performance, as are all Pink Floyd concerts. They were known for their phenomenally elaborate live shows, with astounding light and laser experience. Pink Floyd IS an Experience in and of themselves! Oh, btw, there's one thing Pink Floyd fans are adamant about, that is,.... never, ever, EVER, pause or talk over a David Gilmour guitar solo! One of the greatest Rock guitarists on the planet, his soloing speaks to a person's soul.

Pink Floyd is legitimately one of the best bands that's ever been and has influenced every genre of music that's come after them. They're really their own genre. Their songs are hard rock, blues, funk, and several other subcategories of music all in one. *Money* is a banger, as are *Sheep* and *Pigs*, which are heavier and more bass driven. Their live performances are incomparable and the guitar solo in the song *Comfortably Numb* in the Pulse concert is generally considered to be one of the best guitar solos of all time. It's impossible for me to pick a favorite song of theirs because they're all absolutely beautiful. Their music takes a little patience to listen to because they're masters of the slow and suspenseful build up, and I notice that a few reactors want it to pick up speed and have a hard time getting into the slow groove where Pink Floyd lives. But once the beat drops it's got you. Also, don't shy away from their long songs. *Echoes* is 23 minutes long and is an absolute masterpiece. You can't go wrong with the albums Dark Side of the Moon; Wish You Were Here; Animals; and The Wall. They're all made to be listened to from start to finish because they tell a story and each song transitions into the next, but they don't *have* to be listened to that way, I mean they don't play whole albums on the radio when they play Pink Floyd. There are a few songs, though, that you'll want to listen to together or you'll be left hanging with no resolution. *Also, as the first commenter said, it's considered bad form to interrupt a David Gilmour guitar solo. The Pink Floyd algor 8:43 ithm gods are going to bring more listeners your way and you'll get a lot of hostility if you do. 🤘🏽🎸💗

This is my favorite Floyd song. It covers so many bases. It’s psychedelic, rock, has a bit of a western sound before it kicks in, parts almost sound like southern rock. There’s an Englishness to it of course. I even hear hints of reggae. And the lyrics literally speak to every human’s experiences as they grow older and start facing their own mortality.

As an "older" PF fan, I love watching younger people, get slightly befuddled by this old format, "waiting for the song to start" meaning waiting for the lyrics. Imagine, having to stop.... and listen to instrumentation 😂 Back in 70's it was hell, No Mobile Phones, No Internet, No Social Media and all we had was bands like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin! Try Pink Floyd "Echoes" (Part 1) live at Pompeii 1972 In the ancient Roman Amphitheatre we have Gods playing to the Gods! Or if you want a lesson in Blues Rock Led Zeppelin "Since I've Been Loving You" live at Madison Square Gardens 1973 (it might not be PC to say this today, but it's just not right that 4 Young White Brits could make a sounds that is so good it should be Older Black American Blues icons!)
