I've lived, breathed, and probably copulated with every single Floyd Album ever published, and all of the decent bootlegs as well, and you can call me crazy all you want, I don't care: THIS was Pink Floyd at it's best. And I mean this live album specifically. This is THE best you will ever get from Floyd. It's subconscious perfection, raw and primal. So little is contrived here, or meticulously thought out -- it's progressive musical improvisation at it's absolute finest. This performance of "Careful with that Axe Eugene" is one of the greatest rock performances of all time by any rock band ever, and the others are close behind. If you haven't absolutely buried yourself in this thing at some point in your life, you've missed something.

When it came out on 8 track my friend bought a tape from the discount bin at Zellers. We hit the highway afterwards and plugged it in. About 15 minutes in, my friend slowly rolled down his window, pull out the tape, and tossed it out the window. Neither of us said a word. This is the first time I’ve heard this since 1974.

This précise part is the best part of all Pink Floyd, even better than the end of Echoes. I'll always remember my brother singing alone (with David Gilmour) in his room, the whole house could hear him.

@@ObscuredByTimei mean gilmour is a great musician, i always see people over-praise how good he is as a guitarist and kinda just overlook how good he is as a multi instrumentalist (providing i think 3 songs by themselves before roger left, doing most of the bass on animals, doing a good amount of bass on the wall, writing full instrumentals which roger would only provide lyrics and arrangement, and obviously co writing with rick and roger)
