The next time you listen, hear the words. This is one of the greatest antiwar songs ever written. It's about anything but peace. Governments put guns in young people's hands and send them halfway around the world believing they're coming home the same way they left. Have a lovely day.

You´re right Linl Ds. Dick Parry is one of the best saxophonist of all times. The introduction with his sax gives the song a special taste. The gentile of Richard Wright touching the keyboard made a special feeling to the song. They say Nick Mason shows a nice sobriety on the drums, and, what can we say from the elictric guitar of Dave Gilmour and his voice in this spectacular master piece? That´s why I think this is a "perfect song". Cheers!!!

It is such a pity that Roger didn't get to solve his problems with the rest of the band, imagine having a full 3 hour concert with the 4 of them together and not only those 25 minutes in Live 8.
@thedirtyfecker8 жыл бұрын
Roger solving his problems with the band was not the issue. After Live 8 Roger Waters was up for a proper reunion. It was Dave Gilmour that stood in the way of it happening. Both Roger and Nick were up for it. He said as much in an interview.
@Blakep19918 жыл бұрын
True story. In the book, it said that Dave was busy recording his solo album and didn't want to tour Pink Floyd during that time.
@SluffAdlin8 жыл бұрын
At the time Gilmour has 3 small children at hime, even today his youngest child is around 13. He regretted missing out watching his eldest children grow up (now in their 30's). So he put his family over his career, a Pink Floyd tour is a huge commitment....then there is the passing of Rick. Regardless of what people think about Gilmour and Waters, you can't have a proper Floyd tour without Richard Wright.

SATANISTS REACT TO PINK FLOYD ON KZbin LOOKING
@multimagnitude3 жыл бұрын
