For those who are not familiar with this project of mine, "NASSAU EXTENDED UNRELEASED"
is a series of re-editions/adaptations with different custom non-official UNRELEASED
soundtracks (based on their 2019 restored movie version), I take producing since late 2019.
These are not the Official releases (neither video edit nor audio tracks, which were also
improved/upgraded to 5.1 surround by myself exclusively for KZbin).
Finally the sixth episode for this fancy journey of "Nassau Extended Unreleased" is here.
This one was delayed for a long time, since 2020 to be right, but taking the chance of the
celebration of the 49th anniversary of Wish You Were Here happened this month, I decided
to close the circle and bring it to life once and for all.
It was an interesting project since from the beginning it was some more challenging than
the others. The first part was to make a review on how the band scrip this song on stage
for their live performances back then in 1987/89 to recreate that in the best possible way
along with the usual thing I'm doing for these adaptations.
Despite of that I also put together several ideas for the live narrative that I had in mind for quite
a while now, but anyway, hope you enjoy this that much as I did during the process.
🔹Some differential details here:
▪ Recreated the original Floyd's on-stage script and environment for the song
▪ Improved video quality through more than 40 hours of processing layers for videoclip and
live show footage
▪ Adapted the Gerard Scarfe's videoclip in several on-screen characteristics and details
to inhance and accompany the narrative story along the song and performance.
▪ Upscaled to 4K resolution
▪ Upgraded to 60 FPS
▪ Audio track fully Remixed, Arranged, Remastered and as always, rebuilt into 5.1 Surround
▪ Added sound effects through the show and crowd reactions
▪ Keyboards and some of the high frequencies had an special treatment to generate
the spacial/floating effect along the song
▪ Improved the overall dynamic range, and much more

Finally YOU did it Obi Wan! I have been waiting for this so many years, in terms of muldimedia show "Welcome to the Machine" was the best part of the 19987-89 Momentary Lapse of Reason shows, which I witnessed in Dortmund in 88 and in Cologne in 89. I wonder how you got hold of the cans or the digitalized material but it does not really matter the result is absolutely brilliant. An interesting thing would be to see all your remastered versions in a row, in the correct sequence. Could you do the same with "The Wall"-Shows e.g. "Divided we fall" - Live at Earl's Court August 09th .1980 which seem to be the best raw material that survived....?

I thought it strange that it was omited from the 2019 Later Years Box Set Blu-Ray extras dispite Terminal Frost and a New Machine live cuts bieng amongst the goodies. Feels a bit like Genesis with their Invisible Touch Tour Wembley.4 nights,multiple camera angles and nobody thought to record the In the cage Medley?

Still a bit miffed though,remembering the original VHS release,you had the Repise of Shine on you crazy diamond over timelapse from the back of the colisuem,with the crane cameras zipping around and footage from machine is certainly in there. Best use of the fibre optic "floyd droids" were for this tune (as seen on the Paris 89 fan footage) yet it doesnt make the cut,or Another Brick Part 2.

Saw it at Wembley in 1988 and again in the docklands in 1989 awesome. The 5.1 mix seemed very right front dominant.

If you are on a PC check the soundcard/OS settings; sometimes Windows mess up things and for some reason make the sound louder on my FR as well which get solved after a hard restart. Let me know how it goes, thank you for stopping by!
