The formation of stable foam on Great Salt Lake is likely caused by the presence of naturally occurring surfactants in the lake water. Surfactants are organic compounds, similar to soap, that lower the surface tension of the water.

I was visiting the lake more years ago than you are old! We were on a camping trip. It was amazing and full. Looks very much smaller and drying up. Hope not. We swam,no, floated in it, took a boat ride to see brine shrimp, the only thing that lived in that water. It was wonderful!Have fun. I watch all your videos!!

I was a cook at KFC once, and the secret is they use 2 giant bags of salt to the flower when they fry the chicken. LOL. I one time only used one bag of salt because I thought it was crazy they wanted me to dump that much salt in it, and everyone that ate that batch said it was the best KFC they had ever had. When the manager found out he was super pissed at me.

Jeremiah Johnson is a classic. I rank it up there with Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. A must watch! Del Gue : Ain't this somethin'? I told my pap and mam I was going to be a mountain man; acted like they was gut-shot. "Make your life go here, son. Here's where the people is. Them mountains is for Indians and wild men." "Mother Gue", I says "the Rocky Mountains is the marrow of the world," and by God, I was right. Keep your nose in the wind and your eye along the skyline. * Del Gue : I ain't never seen 'em, but my common sense tells me the Andes is foothills, and the Alps is for children to climb! Keep good care of your hair! These here is God's finest scupturings! And there ain't no laws for the brave ones! And there ain't no asylums for the crazy ones! And there ain't no churches, except for this right here! And there ain't no priests excepting the birds. By God, I are a mountain man, and I'll live 'til an arrow or a bullet finds me. And then I'll leave my bones on this great map of the magnificent... * [Jeremiah and Del are parting company] Jeremiah Johnson : You'll do well, Del; providing you don't get into trouble with all that hair.

Wow! Eric, that's amazing- all those foamy piles! Great video as always, I'm almost shocked that you haven't seen Jeremiah Johnson yet, I saw it on TV a couple times and it is awesome! Lots of territory was covered in that movie, I think it's over 2 and a half hours long so grab a six pack and watch it with Dianna. It has a few well known actors in it like Dustin Hoffman and that famous tear-dropping Indian guy from the pollution commercial in the 70s.

it didn't have to be potatoes in particular that made Farnsworth get the idea for television, it was the rows of crops that sparked the idea. it could have been corn, cotton, green beans, whatever. it just happened to be taters. he wasn't staring at taters Eric, he was starting at the rows dug into the ground. the way TV works has nothing to do with taters it has to do with an electron beam shining onto phosphor dots inside the cathode ray tube and it does this row upon row so fast that it looks like an image. so get the tater out of your head Eric, TV doesn't involve taters.
