I've learned that I can pretty much tell how old people are, relative to me, based on whether they remember this cereal, especially if they ever ate it. I think the target demographic was pretty much down to those who were 7-10 years old. And I knew they were strawberry flavored, but we were never allowed to have Quik, and I only remember it from friend's houses. Strawberry Quik makes sense!

One of my earliest memories is seeing a box of pink panther flakes in the supermarket when i was 4-5 years old. That memory, of that box, was the stimulus that got me into collecting boxes. And yes, like sir grapefellow, and baron von redberry, quangaroos and quake, i ate them as a child, and would give my next child for a box.

@@CerealTimeTV 1:26: I think the reason why the laugh track was used at all was because they want to shoe-horn in the feeling of being in a theater to the comfort of non-moviegoers. Whether or not it worked depends on the program. For the Pink Panther, it works, because the shorts were shown in theaters first; but with modern sitcoms like Big Bang Theory, it doesn't, because not only was it never shown in theaters, but the biggest issue lately was how they put in long pauses to soak in all the jokes that weren't funny. Now, whether or not it should work in Hanna-Barbera Cartoons like the Flintstones or Scooby-Doo is up for debate, but I just want to share my theory on why it was even used to begin with.

I think that would be awesome, . I love seeing the older commercials from the 80’s n later. The effort put in to them seems so much more than todays. The surprises in cereal always made digging in the boxes fun. Having a younger brother and sister made getting to the surprise more fun

I remember this stuff. As soon as the milk hit it, it would turn bright pink, and the flakes would become normal corn flake color. I was only 5 or 6 at the time. I also remember Corny Snaps, Freakies and Crazy Cow, so I'm probably the oldest guy on this channel.

Thanks! I’ve tried Magic Spoon and to be honest, I don’t love them. They are great if you’re on a keto diet or trying to limit certain ingredients, but they aren’t great tasting cereals compared to the classic ones on shelves we grew up with. And they are pretty expensive too. I don’t really want to make a whole video about them because I was always taught “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all” 😐

I remember this cereal but I thought it came out in 1975….at least I remember seeing the cartoon series during that time. Anyway when I ate the cereal I was hoping that the milk would turn pink(maybe even strawberry flavor) but no such luck after a minute or two it looked pretty much like Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and tasted the same.

actually. the last pink panther show came out around 2010 with it being called "Pink Panther and Pals". with it premiering on cn over here in the states. i think the last time it was aired was during a saturday morning block called kids click around 2017. and i think it stopped reruns when the block shut down in 2019.

IF that ever happens, sure. But it’s very unlikely. And if I find one it’ll be out of my price range, most likely. For example, there’s an unopened box of Crazy Cow on eBay right now that I wanted to get and do a follow up, but it’s just too expensive and not worth it.

I was 9 when it came out. I had 3 other siblings that all wanted the prize- a twisty plastic straw. I got up at 3 AM to go get the prize out of the box. This cereal got soggy as soon as you poured milk in it.

I liked this cereal when I was 8 or 9. I asked my mom why it wasn't available anymore and she said it was pulled because it contained red dye #2 or cyclamates.... something that caused cancer in lab rats. It was tasty and sweeter that Kellogg's Frosted Flakes

I remember the cereal and the "disappearing paper" rings a bell. As someone else mentioned, the flavor was not straight frosted flakes, but there was a tinge of something that made it taste unique. Oh, I also hated the commercial jingle -- "tickle me pink" gives me chills, but not the good kind. My kids can tell you that decades later I was still complaining about that. And I've never been able to decipher the second line of the lyrics: "Pink Panther Flakes are pink / .......????"

I had to look at the date you released this video, to be sure this wasn't a really old video. There was a Pink Panther cartoon that it seems most people never knew about from around 2007 (give or take a few years). You should be able to find it mentioned in a simple Wikipedia article if you look simply search "animated Pink Panther".

That Spy Kit that came in the Pink Panther cereal looks like just a chunk of cheap plastic, not looking much like the picture on the box. I remember the Pink Panther cartoons very well. He never spoke for most of the cartoons, until they created animated series where he was given the ability to speak. He was voiced by Matthew Frewer, I believe.

I was 3-4 when it was being made and remember seeing it in the cupboard & the supermarket ... it always stuck-out because of the pink box. They tasted like frosted-flakes ... but pink. It just vanished one day & I hadn’t even thought about it until this video. Your piece on Crazy Cow was a similar experience. That, was my favorite ... besides Blueberry Waffle’Os ...
