Y’all don’t even try to understand their music on a deeper level. They have one of the best instrumental switches I’ve ever heard. Sometimes their songs sound like two different songs it’s so cool. Also pink venom makes references to Rihanna, B.I.G, 50 Cent and even Taylor swift Lisa sings” one by one then two by two” which is a reference to Rihanna’s song, Pon de replay, “It goes one by one, even two by two.” Jennie sings “Kick in the door waving the coco(coco as in Chanel/ coco Chanel ) ,”which is also a song by Notorious B.I.G where he says “kick in the door, waving the .44, and another verse where Lisa sings “You can’t get a dollar out of me” which was also used in P.I.M.P by 50 Cent, “But a b*tch can't get a dollar out of me” “Look what u made us do” that’s from Taylor swift’s , “ Look what you made me do” Lisa also says makes no sense you couldn’t get a dollar outta me SENSE As in no CENTS. Their lyricism can only be understood if ur smart or know a lot about hip hop. Stop acting so ignorant and try to educate yourselves or just stop reacting to them because u kinda act like teenage boys

That was how I felt when I tried to get into them. The first two songs like Ddu-du was OK, but after 5 title songs I was done. The lyrics usually talk about the same thing. I hate having men writing women empowerment songs because there is nothing empowerment by using sex appeal.

structure wise sure, nothing about the beat are the same or even similar. I never understood why people say this?? i’m wondering what output device yall use?? just some cheap headphones from the dollarstore?? i have a kpop playlist with bts, twice, dreamcatcher, clc, etc… with the headphones I use, it’s so easy to appreciate how much effort is put into bp song’s, the instrumental, production, execution, etc…

Music, which is art, is subjective, people just like what they like. You're still living in the '90's with Beyoncé and Destiny's Child, I'm sorry but everyone else has moved on (and I'm older than you). Doesn't mean you should like them, just explaining that they can still be popular even if you can't see why. As far as "do your research", I assume people are referring to their popularity, which can be measured by sales, view counts and concert attendance. Speaking of which, BLACKPINK Headlined Coachella in 2023 with 110,000 people attending each show, plus the KZbin Livestream audience. They recently completed a 66-stop World Tour that covered four continents, including the U.S., the last lag of the tour were encore shows at the biggest Worldwide stadiums (sorry Kansas City, nothing big enough near you!). Anyway, nothing really matters if you've got hate in your heart, so please, keep drinking.

@ambriaasisland7634 I never mentioned the quality of Destiny's Childs' work, they are a fantastic group. I was referring to the fact that they disbanded in 2006, which is 17 years ago. Their final tour consisted of 68 venues that were attended by 9,000 to 22,000 max.. BLACKPINK's most recent tour, by comparison, was 66 venues averaging 20,000-55,000 each and became the highest grossing tour by a girl group of all time, passing the Spice Girls 2019 tour by 60 million dollars. The gentlemen on the right is comfortable saying that BLACKPINK is basically "nothing", which is an insult to the group and it's work. There's a difference between not liking an artist and insulting them, as they are liked by many people ( just as you like Destiny's Child) and are currently the biggest girl group in the world. Respect is what the reactor is lacking, which is my point. BLACKPINK doesn't need to open for anyone, but if they needed an opener themselves they'd probably look for an artist that has produced work in the past 19 years.

As an old rock guy, it can take a minute to get K-Pop. The only K-Pop I listened to was Dreamcatcher for about a year. Now I'm almost exclusively listening to K-Pop and J-Rock. (Consumed a lot during '19 and '20)

Sorry to inform you but there is no more Destiny’s Child. This group just did a world tour and sold out stadiums everywhere they went! After they finished the tour they did an Encore tour because they are so much in demand! 66 concerts were sold out! You don’t have to like them but don’t disrespect them! We are talking about soccer stadiums, baseball stadiums, huge venues through our the world!

You guys asked a lot of good questions that if you do some research, you will understand BP and KPOP more. There are many boy and girl groups that have different styles, just like in any other country in the world. America is just one of the many countries in the world, and is not the whole world. It'll help you guys if you explore the world. By the way, Netflix has a documentary on BP that was released a few years back that will give you some background. BP has grown and achieved much more globally since then, but you should still watch it. Anyway, if you think Destiny's Child is the best then it's OK. You do not need to hate anyone else. Just like the rest of the world enjoy BP and not know who Destiny's Child is.

Please check out XG - They are a Japanese girl group, not K-Pop, not J-Pop, they sing mostly in English. There are 4 Rappers and 3 vocalists, but they can all sing and dance. Just give them a try. Kpop has several styles of music, if you're looking for a group with something deeper, I don't think you'll find that in Blackpink, they do have slower songs but not the majority although I personally think their songs are good. KPOP have different Music styles you just need to find the ONE GROUP that fits you.There are thousands of groups. If you guys start this jorney with kpop you guys will see how creative kpop is itself. the language barrier shouldn't be a problem when listening to music, much less race, and i think the RESPECT has to come first because it make no sense in 21centry people in America Still have this thing.
