En ajedrez nadie está sujeto al intercambio de favores. Pinkamena sólo aplicó el reglamento cómo corresponde. Devolver "favores" dentro del juego altera él mismo. Él reglamento y las normas dentro del ajedrez existen para ser aplicados y no para ser anulados mediantes favores recíprocos. Yes it was Mr Babkin's choice to play on. In fact he pointed out Pinka's illegal moves. He wished to continue playing this "great game" and there is no mechanism for Pinkamena's "disqualification." Mr Babkin did involve the arbiter when his time was short.

At 15:49 I assumed Pinkamena was in a losing position so I took a "sneak peek" ahead and she was in a superior position. So, I went back and watched it the rest of the way. It was unfortunate there were so many illegal moves. If S. Babkin had of penalized her the first time, rather than letting her just take her rook move back, perhaps she would have paid better attention to the position her king was in with the rook pinned to it. And then he did it again. It wasn't until she called the arbitrator on him for his first illegal move that he finally penalized her for an illegal move. It was only right and proper that the game ended with yet another illegal move by S. Babkin. The game was cursed. There were some very good moves made in between the errors. It is through trying and failing that we learn to try and succeed.

It's more likely that he finally penalized her when his time was short and it then mattered. Not because Pinka had first called the arbiter with short time. I love your description of " The game was cursed." Agreed!

From what exalted vantage point do you perceive Mr Babkin's understanding of the rules? Do you speak from Chess Olympus? The guy didn't call the arbiter because - he didn't care to. When he was running out of time he did call... just as Pinka had with her time running low. And then after getting his time... he proceeded to move into mate again! Your attacks on the girls character are delusional.

@@danielm8482 Look, Mr Babkin has played dozens of games at CFN. Hundreds on his own. He is perfectly aware of OTB rules. It’s your whole premise that is faulty. It was Mr Babkin’s choice not to call the arbiter on Pinka’s original illegal move… it was not good will, generosity, or ignorance of the rules. He just didn’t think it mattered at that point. He wanted to play on. When he finally did on Pinkamena’s 3rd foul he was on short time. He wasn’t looking to end the game. He wanted to play. He wasn’t being cheated out of a victory… he was playing a kid he’s pretty equal to and familiar with. Snd then what happens… he yawns himself again! All this expressed outrage about the game is overdetermined. The players were just having bad days.
