I think the important lesson here is being missed by a lot of people. Even if you make a mistake (a bad opening in this instance) solid and pragmatic chess can still get you a win! Also I like the new hair.

you should do a video with hikaru with the queens and kings set on the board the way a lot of people think the chessboard is set up with the white queen xraying through the black king and the black queen xraying through the white king. it would be cool to hear you guys talk about all the drastic changes to the opening this creates and maybe some advantages or disadvantages for the white or black pieces as well as some stupid attacks and threats. idk

@@Nick_J_ yes, but if you ask me he isn't a GM because his calculating capabilities are nowhere near Danya, and I may argue he is slightly worse at calculating than Eric Rosen who isn't good enough to be a GM. Hello Levy. I bought a book about the Pirc Defense by Mihail Marin and i enjoy the opening very much. In Conjunction with the KID, i think i found my main repertoire. I saw your course about the modern defense and i know, that it shares very much with the Pirc. Im struggling with different move orders by white and with the middlegame. I am thinking about buying your course and to adopt it for the Pirc. My question: Do many of the lines you show in the course cover an early Nf6 by black? Or does the modern rely on the late development of the kinght? If it doesnt, i will buy your course!

@@benr3799????? What are you even talking about. There wasn't any forced mate to miss. Bd4 was arguably one of the best moves in that situation. Rh8+ in place of Bd4 is a crap move, simply Kxh8 and now you're down a rook for no good reason. Why are you coming at Gotham with this overconfidence 😅.

@13:56 , you could just sac the rook instead of playing the bishop move, it's a win by force. Was really hoping levi would find that.

The final game is the reason why you should always play with bonus time after every turn

not necessarily, it's a matter of preference. even with increment you can still lose with a winning position because you took too long to think in the opening and midgame. that's obviously not a good reason to say you should always play correspondence or classical.

You've yet to play my special opening - The Dram as it only looks good after copious drams of whiskey. The set-up of the Dram,, if allowed by black, sees a position 1. nh3 ... 2. g3 .... 3. f4 if possible 4. nf2, 5. Bg2 6. d6 7. O-O. I think my inebriated brain thought the knight on f2 covered the light squares so i could exchange my light squares bishop for something. What? Can't remember.

Levy looks great with his new haircut. Glad he's stopped those awful product promotions and instead concentrates on promoting his own excellent courses.
