Happy to see no tire inserts. Ran them for a few seasons and realized with DH or EXO+ casing (Maxxis), frankly, you don't need them. Especially with trail riding. Yeah, they offer a bit of protection just in case you puncture and don't have a tube or patch....but still, who is going to ride on foam down to the trail head? Rad bike!

Yo, the new Sight looks pretty nice. I was looking at the 2020 Range but when this new model dropped I got distracted. Which frame is the most robust or at least designed to be? They both seem to be able to climb but I imagine the new Sight would have an edge now with the steeper seat angle though. I want a decent all-around bike I can take to the bike park and not break but also ride on my local trails which are flowy, fast single track with rocks and jumps on one side of the park and old school rooty east coast US singletrack on the other side.

That was great! Can't believe you went XL? I've got a large Sight on the way and now you're making me second guess myself...I ride a large Slash right now...Fingers crossed, should be great.
@MitchPhillips3 жыл бұрын
How have you found your large frame? I’m 6”3’ and 82kg/180lb, moving up from a fairly basic hardtail, and looking at the large as possibility enough bike for me as XL might be too big and burly. Keen to know how the L has gone for
@jk23023 жыл бұрын
@@MitchPhillips The large Sight was the answer for me for sure. I wouldn't go any bigger myself but I'm 6' @ 190lbs. I wouldn't worry about it being too burly so much as just not being too compact between the seat and bars. The geo is phenomenal, climbs amazing and descends like a champ. The fact that the seat post is so steep and fork so slack though, does bring the cockpit size into focus and I'd defintely go put your leg over both sizes to get a feel for the difference. I think you'd probably benefit from an XL.
@MitchPhillips3 жыл бұрын
@@jk2302 Thanks Jeff - very helpful! I sat on a large Sight and it felt massive with 29ers on it. It’s pretty much impossible to see stock in both sizes before having to preorder. Sort of just guessing
@jk23023 жыл бұрын
@@MitchPhillips The bike may feel much longer than you're used to and depending on the hard tail you were on previous most full suspension bikes will feel much larger. Your hardtail may feel comparable to an XC bike in size.
@austinnoll28692 жыл бұрын
I have to ask... I was going to order a Norco sight tomorrow from Jenson. I'm also 6'1. The geo on the large seemed plenty and fitting. Do you think I should get XL instead of large? I want that stability but also wanna be able to whip them turns and tighter corners. Could use some advice on large or XL. Thanks man
@jacobgersh47874 жыл бұрын
I am confused when he refers to his suspension settings as clicks "from closed, of course". I always refer to clicks from open. For example rebound- when it's fully open, the dampening circuit does not inhibit the spring from returning to extension. So the circuit is off, the spring is open to return to its travel. One click of rebound dampening, away from fast/open and towards the little turtle, would be "one click from open". Is my nomenclature incorrect?
@ride-time4 жыл бұрын
I think it actually makes more sense to refer to clicks from fully open, as you do, but most suspension brands count their clicks from fully closed. I'm sure they have their reasons.

Are 29er or 27.5ers better for jumps
@aMilling4 жыл бұрын
I recently changed from a 27.5 to a 29er, and 29er feels way more stable imo, but you loose a bit of that jibbing power. But it gives a lot more confidence and speed.
@dylantheocheung65864 жыл бұрын
29 will feel more planted and seedy while a 27.5 will be more playful and fun
