a daily riders NZ edition would be great :) @pinkbike I run a early 2000's stumpjumper m4 FSR (like the one at the start of the video) but I have cut the head tube off, extended the reach 40mm, and welded a tapered head tube on that I had CNC machined to be able to run modern forks. also slackened the angle to 65degrees and mulleted it with a 27.5" front and 26" rear. about $1000 NZD all in so its a fun little bike. how do we post pictures...

Some seriously awesome bikes!! I got a Surly Krampus I ride on mostly flat land 20mi a day to work. In Chicago year-round. It is literally my daily. I use it for everything from groceries to 50mi solo epics to mild singletrack. Does that count? I don't think I could ever sell it with how much we have gone through together! It's like a part of my existence! At work I'm the crazy guy who rides to work. I think they are all missing out. Id fit in with this crew! Bike is life.

LOL! Paying any amount of cash for any bike with a Brain is a bad deal. The 888 from almost 16 years ago is a piece of trash, and so are most ti springs. "My bike is fresh, except the drive train, wheels and basically everything else". Classic squam MTBer. Love how you manage to find eccentrics. This series is awesome. That custom bike was preety sick.

i ride a ladies' scott genius, it fits perfectly and the shorter cranks are soemthing i would've changed into anyway! i went ahead to get the ladies one because it was a chameleon blue-green iridescent color

Got a 2018 Stanton Switchback Gen 2 currently but just ordered the next gen frame yesterday as well as a few new bits as I tend to abuse my bike🤣 Gotta say, having owned full sus's, I much prefer steel hardtails. Easy to maintain and they are a lot more rewarding to ride, especially doing big hucks or dropping your friends on full sus's🤣

@@tjpreston3591 it's the padding they sew into bike shorts so you don't chafe / shred the skin on your inner thighs. Used to be made from real chamois which is a kind of soft leather.
