Sino mga members ng Dongyan fans club na active pa? Actually, irrelevant na pero gusto ko lang ipiece together yong approximate timeline ng romance nila, (walang magawa lockdown kami.) Kasi nga ayaw nila aminin kung kailan ang anniversary nila, sa isang interview sabi ni DD yong birthday niya is a good time to celebrate, tapos dagdag niya kasi for his past 3 birthdays kasama niya si MR, the year was 2009, so ibig bang sabihin 2007 ang turning point? Dec. 2007 si DD rin ang invited escort/guest niya sa premiere night ng MMFF entry niya, pero di natuloy, si RG ang pumunta. Also noong 2016, 2nd wedding anniversary nila, sabi ni DD 9th year anniversary na daw nila sabi naman ni MR, no, 2nd year as married couple. So kung tama yong 9 years na sabi ni DD eh di balik na naman sa year 2007. Sabi ni DD 1st date nila was late 2008 at SG in Tagaytay. I believe there is already some kind of undefined r/s noon pang Marimar days kasi noong nasa LV, USA sila off-cam ay very affectionate and thoughtful sila sa isa't-isa.

Ramo Nette, I think so too. As early as Marimar days, it was obvious they have something special between them. I remember Marian, during her interview with direk Joyce Bernal before their wedding, MR said na neregalohan sya ng chocolate ni DD thru her PA. Nakatingin pala sa kanya si DD habang inaabot sa kanya, kinilig daw sya, pero alam nya na hindi pwede kasi mayroon sya at mayroon si DD. Ayaw lang nilang aminin pareho publicly, because they were both in a relationship at that time. But I think it all started in Marimar tapings. If we look back to DD's proposal in Marian Show, the moment the theme song of Marimar "Mahal Kita" was played, both of them were emotional, which means it was where, it all started.

@@briarrose6891nagiging masayang puzzle ang kanilang start as a couple. They are very, very careful, even now, at stating dates, I am not really sure why it matters, but it does to them. These two truly made an impact to millions of people until now. I loved watching their BTS/off-cam videos, esp. during Marimar when their attraction was blossoming. I am usually pragmatic, but with them kinilig talaga ako, they made me giggle watching them.😂 Si MR ay very, very beautiful, hardworking, playful, caring and malambing and DD found out that he loved being the recipient of all of those MR traits. Sa interview niya at Kris TV in 2011 sabi niya, 3-4 years prior, when he was around 27 y.o. he decided to be free and single, to do that, ibig sabihin nagcool-off sila ni K since ang sabi eh ayaw daw pumayag makipagbreak si K. Maybe when DD gifted her the chocolates was already "single", cool-off na sila ni K during or even before Marimar pero di alam ni MR. Sabi kasi ni DD di raw siya nagkaroon ng overlapping with two love interests. There is this one talk show where both K and MR were mentioned, with MR he was complimentary and like a proud bf, while talking about K he was indifferent and careless with his response. Those times he thanked K on his birthday it was more of a lipservice than anything else. From this same interview with Kris he said that although he wished to be single and free he readily gave that up and chose to be with MR because the happiness he got from being with her was much greater than being single. He said that he couldn't move forward on anything without her by his side. Also, he said that MR made him realize that he is human and she made him alive. When asked how he knew MR was the one, he said that when he asked her to go exclusive with him he knew that she is his future. He told Bb. Joyce that he acted on his attraction in Dyesebel and that it progressed very fast. I am guessing that before their birthday concert in 2008 they already had an understanding. I think DD, in the end, had to pressure K into accepting their breakup and make the formal announcement because MR was getting dragged through the mud by K's camp and the tabloids. Natatawa ako when the two of them, DD & MR, were interviewed regarding the rumored breakup between DD and K, noong si MR ang tinatanong regarding kung siya ang sinasabing cause ng breakup nila si DD ang sumagot for her, di na nagsalita si MR, ngumiti na lang. Then nong tanungin sila kung pwede bang maging OTL nila ang isa't-isa ngiti lang din sila tapos sabi nila sa reporter siya na magconclude. And both of them admitted to having somebody very special even at the height of DD's controversial breakup news. Ang Marimar babalikbalikan kong panoorin forever. Wala pa akong napanood na ibang telenovela, ever, na ganito ka-long-lasting ang impact. I love watching them, because on top of being really, really good actors I love the attraction/love they have for one another. I love how so good and passionate they are in every scene. I love how many hundred kisses they've shared and enjoyed giving one another, as if it's giveaway candies. I love how naturally sweet they are, more than many real couples, in their scenes. I smile everytime DD sat MR on his lap or infront if him with his arms securely wrapped around her. And even if his arms are already wrapped around her they still held hands with their fingers intertwined. And, yes, they become very emotional when they hear the song, Mahal kita. Ah, the magic of these two onscreen and off-screen is undeniable and so adorably unforgettable.

@@ramonette2079 your account of events was a revelation to me...the details about the "cool-off" period between DD and K, that eventually leads to their official break-up. Now I understand why MR has always this to say: "kaya kong lunukin ang mga batikos, mga paratang, kasi alam naming dalawa ni Dong kung ano ang totoo". But, I felt bad why DD kept the truth in private. To love somebody is not a crime, especially when all the parties involved were unmarried. Everyone has the right to choose the right partner in life. That would have saved MR from getting the blame, as the third party to the break-up. Perhaps DD was too much of a gentleman, he doesn't want to put K in a "bad light". I admire MR for being so forgiving. She kept all this to herself. No wonder MR is so blessed. She has the " charisma" that most stars don't have...or how can anyone explain the 25 millions and counting, social media followers she has to date. What you said are all true. I feel the same way too...the reason I often revisit their past teleseryes, especially MariMar, movies, bts/videos on YT. I still feel that old "kilig" I felt, when they were just starting out as a new love team, until it blossomed into a romantic relationship and finally into a real lovely couple for life. Now they're blessed with two adorable kids, their most precious kids.

@@briarrose6891 Yup, MR, loved him that much, because she could have just told him to clean up his mess first and get back to her when he’s untangled. But I don’t think DD would have let her go, even for just a short time. MR could have her pick from her many admirers, but “he’s (DD) got her” when she was 22! I get bummed too whenever I read all those abuse directed at MR because of that breakup. But, I get consoled that DD chose to make that public statement; I believe that the person he was trying to protect and comfort was MR, not K. It was said that he got annoyed with K when she let herself be interviewed and she made it look like they were still together, when, in fact, they’re already broken up and are only waiting for the official announcement. DD and MR were interviewed at the Inauguration of the new GMA studios, DD was asked about the K interview, but he couldn’t comment on it because he just got back from the State; then when MR was asked to answer the blame that’s being thrown at her DD (shamelessly 😜) took the liberty to answer for MR! He said, in effect, that whatever good is happening with them, it has nothing to do with the rumored breakup. Then, when asked if they could be each other’s OTL , if they’re both free, they gave that most idiotic answer of staring at one another, smiling and told the reporter to make his own mind.😉 Btw, there was this celebration show in Davao, I think that was in Aug. 2007, Marimar wasn’t on tv yet, so it’s more of a promo, they danced and after the dance they kissed /smacked on the lips, he didn’t ask for permission this time.😂 Also in the same show/event the reporter said they were very affectionate with one another, they held hands openly and covertly. I will never believe that they didn’t have anything more than mere friendship at the end of Marimar, it’s more than just a chemistry the way they were so aware of each other and they uninhibitedly touched and caressed each other. Like I said I will never get tired of watching Marimar because it’s so “true-to-life”, it doesn’t feel like enactment at all.

Actually, sa interview ni JS noong 2010 sinabi na niya alam na siya from the very start sa mere holding hand lang daw. At sabi pa niya he dreamt in detail ang future nilang dalawa. At noong early 2009 pa lang pinatattoo na niya ang initials na mgd, "Marian Gracia Dantes".
