You know, I don't care WTF Roger or David or anyone says NOW. Once upon a time, I think they did actually like each other. I watch this and I see some affection, some fun. I don't think it was JUST a working relationship. I think there was friendship. I understand how hard it must have been for all of them. Let's face it: David and Roger are about as different as two people could be. But I still think they at least respected each other a lot at one point. Maybe that's why it became so bitter at times. I'm grateful for the times that they all could work together and give us all some of the greatest music ever. And no, they don't owe the fans anything more than that. Best wishes to the surviving Floydians. And to all who love their music.

It's interesting to listen to interviews with the both of them in recent years. Roger has said that whatever was going on with the group socially, he believes that they made some really great music together. He's also said that while he left the band at the right time, he regrets the lawsuit. DSOTM really changed everything for the band - not just with their own relationships within the band, but also in their marriages. The early stuff is where you really see the camaraderie and collaboration.

Once upon a time a girl showed me this song, I was talking to her because she looked milledly interesting, I never had strongs feelings for her, for anyone actualy, but, when she showed me this, this song touched my heart and I felt a conection with her. A few months after that one friend of mine said that he was kinda linking her and asked me if it was okay If he talked to her, the simpathatyc loser I am said: I'm okay with that. The day before yesterday he said that he confesed to her his feelings and that she said she had feelings for him too, in that day I realised something: romantically I've been alone since I was born and that I would be alone for a long time. I also realised something else: I missed the chance, my friend is the man inside looking the outside and I could have been that man, there was a week when she talked to me more then normal, I think that in that week she was looking for something and I dismissed that, so she found that in my friend. Every time I hear this song I think about the only time I was truly in tune with someone, and I feel that this feeling I'll be missing for a long while, or I'll never feel it again, Joana, If you're reading this (witch probably you are not) I Just want you to know that you provided a unique feeling in this cold heart, and that I thank you for that, be happy with him, I'll be happy with me.

This is a work of art and i believe this band has changed my life more than any. If you have friends that dont know anything about floyd do them a favor and show them some songs.

Heaven sent the promised land Looks alright from where I stand Cause I'm the man on the outside looking in Waiting on the first step Show where the key is kept Point me down the right line because it's time To let me in from the cold Turn my lead into gold Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul And I think I'm growing old Flash the readies Wot's...uh the deal? Got to make to the next meal Try to keep up with the turning of the wheel. Mile after mile Stone after stone Turn to speak but you're alone Million mile from home you're on your own So let me in from the cold Turn my lead into gold Cause there's chill wind blowing in my soul And I think I'm growing old Fire bright by candlelight And her by my side And if she prefers we will never stir again Someone said the promised land And I grabbed it with both hands Now I'm the man on the inside looking out Hear me shout "Come on in, What's the news and where you been?" Cause there's no wind left in my soul And I've grown old

Time just hits you like a train as you get older. I had a trip not too long ago after I contemplated suicide, and I began having flashbacks to previous events during this trip. I was back at a concert with someone who used to be close to me. I felt the music in my chest and the touch of the people around me. It was as if the life that had carried on after was just a dream and I was really back in this moment. I began to delve deeper as I pulled out more memories with this person in them. I felt as if I was there but it wasn’t too soon that I came to the realization that I’m just tripping absolute nuts and that none of it was real. I looked at the person across from me that I loved and hated and smiled and cried because for once they looked like they were actually happy and something clicked in my head. At the end of the trip I though a lot about death. Even more scary I thought about dying during the trip. I thought about what if I had killed myself. I came to this realization that if I died when I’m 80 years old, it would be the same as if I died today. I wouldn’t even know and life will carry on. I realized there’s no use being unhappy when happiness is subjective in the first place. If I’m going to die one day and all of this will go away anyway then why worry about everything bad and focus on making life the best it can be. There was no use in taking my life when time will take it for me and this song kind of brings back this feeling.
