I was team jacob because I couldn't stand edward. Jacob was horrible too and made terrible mistakes but he was an actual TEENAGER going through two different sets of puberty...... It's cause Bella knew that Jacob liked her and she fed into it HARD. she would purposely tell him that she loved him and would manipulate him on every corner (in NEW MOON bella tells him that she's not into him like that but that she needs him and when Jacob says that hes not giving up, instead of telling him that he should she tells him that she doesn't want him to 😤🤦🏽‍) and like the dumb teenager he is took that to mean that she was saying he had a chance. In my opinion, she is completely at fault with how hard he came at her. She would play this kid like a fiddle and then get upset at him for reacting..... I'm not saying his actions are right but he'll learn as he gets older..... It would take longer for him to see the truth if bella kept doing what she's doing smh. And if edward wasn't a vampire he would be in jail for all the crap he's done. And there are so many RED FLAGS for abusive relationships that edward shows...... That's an aspect of twilight I wish had been brought up more in Eclipse. Suppossedly the person you imprint on is your soulmate. Alice can't see split second decisions. It's something Bella and the others do all the time to get past her. If my understanding is correct, Victoria made a split second decision or changed her mind very fast, told Riley and walked away. Alice didn't know about Riley so she didn't know to look for him. While he made the important decisions, Victoria led them on wild goose chases as seen in the movie. IDK, they never show anything from Alice's perspective so I'm not sure how it worked.

All the side characters are so interesting and the eclipse book is really where we learn a lot about everyone's background. Some are in the movie obviously but it's so much more in-depth in the book. Like Rosalie in her human life had a friend who had a baby and a husband who loved her and she envied her friend. Then she found Emmett almost dead after being attacked by bears and the reason she decided to save him was because he looked like her friend's child. And some of Jasper's friends from the newborn army in Texas are talked about that become more important in the 4th book. And we learn so much more of the pack's backstory as well, for instance, Embry might be Jacob's half-brother. And they also give several Quileute stories at the bonfire, not just the vampire one. Also, I don't think this is in the 3rd one and can't remember which one it is but Alice's storyline is also super interesting but is never mentioned in the movies and think :/

Basically she already had 'visions' during her human life (more like premonitions i guess and they weren't always true I think). She warned her friend that something bad was going to happen but the friend didn't listen, so when the thing (can't remember exactly what it was) came true, people thought she was a witch and had cursed her friend. She also had a vision of her mom being murdered and the mom ends up being murdered (but the death was ruled an accident) and the dad remarries pretty soon. Alice has another vision that her dad and step-mom paid someone off to kill her mom and she runs away but her dad catches up with her and throws her in a mental asylum where she is subjected to electric shock therapy (which is why as a vampire she doesn't remember her human life). While in the asylum, she has visions of James hunting her and wanting to kill her, so a vampire who works at the asylum turns her to save her. Sorry for the rant, I just really love her story!

There are 3 deleted scenes in this film that i love: 1. Charlie telling bella she's his greatest accomplishment after her graduation. 2. A scene between angela (the friend with the glasses) where they have a normal teenage discussion about bella's love triangle, showing that bella really is just a teenager. 3. When bella tells edward "i love you more" and all that after she kisses jacob edward says something that is js rlly sad lol "when i left, i left you bleading, and jacob stitched you up. That left its mark on the both of you, and thats my fault. I just want you to be happy, nomatter what" or something along those lines, and you can hear the emotion in edwards voice. But ofcourse, they deleted all the best scenes that humanise the characters 🙄

I think when Sam turned werewolf, Leah and Sam were going to get married. Emily literally came to Leah's house for her cousin's wedding. She was the bridesmaid. And then Sam turned to werewolf, disappeared to get some control, came back to visit Leah, imprinted on Emily, she rejected him, Sam lost his temper and scratched her face up, Emily was admitted to hospital, suddenly they were a couple. All this happened and Leah didn't even know that Sam was werewolf. She just thought Sam dumped her for her cousin. Then she transformed, her father got a heart attack because she was a girl and wasn't supposed to be a werewolf.

@@PinkPopcast Though I mostly dislike the Bella character, one aspect I do strangely admire is that she knows what she wants, fights for it, and in the end gets it. She doesn't flip flop or second guess herself. You can argue she SHOULD second guess herself more ... but the fact that she gets what she wants and it works out in the end basically justifies her not compromising what she wants.

I think Meyers made all of them bad. Jacob sexually assauled Bella, Bella cheated on Edward a day and a half after she got engaged to him, and Edward had Bella kidnapped. Jacob was probably the worst of the 3, but they all pretty much sucked in this book. I don't think she was doing anyone any favors.

@@alexandriaking8544 I think an arguement can definately be made that Seth, one of the indigenous characters, is arguably the nicest purest character in the franchise. And in Midnight Sun, Edward described Jacob that way (though it was prior to him becoming a wolf). So their portrayal ended up a mixed bad, just like everyone else.
