I know everyone loves the first one, but I prefer the sequel. You can’t beat the NY setting! And another awesome soundtrack.

28:24 Not a request by any means just a recommendation since you said it’s your (Rizzo) favourite Christmas song. You should listen to Geoff Castellucci’s bass cover of “Carol of the bells” it’s the most insanely epic version of that song I’ve ever heard.

ngl popstars in Poland we say "there is no Christmas without Kevin" it's honestly our Christmas culture to watch it on every single day of holidays, not only that but every single tv channel is airing Home Alone on Christmas since like early 2000s so everyone in this country knows it by heart just like you 😂❤ and I mean it - on Christmas it is ABSOLUTELY EVERYWHERE ❤ love the video ❤ Merry Christmas 🎄❤

It's so "sweet" that John Candy and Macaulay were together again in this after Uncle Buck. Even though they didn't share a scene together, close enough. The funeral story by Candy was completely improvised, which makes it even more hilarious, rest in peace...Marv's spider death scream is legit. He really had arachnophobia. The greatest crime committed in this movie is certainly... that Kevin never even gets to eat his highly nutritious Macaroni and Cheese. He's most well known for this but "The Good Son" and "My Girl" I highly recommend. "What, now?" "No tomorrow ya egghead yeah now!" 😂

29:36 I mean I’m pretty sure Jamie Kennedy himself said in scream that “sex equals death” yes he was talking in terms of horror movies but I think we can all agree to extend that to Leo dicaprio characters too 😂😂😂😂

True story. The only reason I didn’t watch this growing up, was because I knew there was a spider in it. I finally watched it for the first time two years ago during a college watch party. I just looked away every time that stupid spider was on the screen.

I showed my 4 and 2 year old goddaughters this movie earlier this week and I can say with confidence that yeah it still hits at least for kids anyway lol. 2 year old was in and out but 4 year old stay locked in 80% of the film. She especially loved when the clerk and the cop chased Kevin. She asked me literally yesterday if we could watch “Kevin’s movie” so it definitely still lands.

Showed this movie to my 8 yr old nephew a while ago - the first half he complained non-stop that it was sooooo booooring, but we made him keep watching and the second half he giggled the whole way through, it still hits. A classic for sure.

I always admire Kevin’s independence, but hate how it came from being overlooked by his family. And it bothers me that only one person realized Kevin was missing. I get we didn’t see the day to day life and how Kevin acts, but the beginning scene did a good job showing how Kevin is the scapegoat for everything and they don’t want to hold the rest of the family accountable for anything. That dynamic doesn’t come out of nowhere.

I've said it before, but Im commenting it again. I know first watches are popular, but people rewatching things they've seen several times over is my favorite. All the better when they quote along. Dont know why it gets me but I end up smiling so much.

Even though I'm a Muslim from Egypt and I don't even celebrate Christmas, I absolutely adore this movie, and most of my family does, and even my mom, who doesn't like non-Egyptian movies, loves this movie. it's so nostalgic to me and makes me so emotional
@L33W1NT3R5Күн бұрын
BTW the reason they have so many mannequins is because the mom is a fashion designer. I think that fact is established in the books? (Also yes they have like books or comic books based on Home Alone amd the Mccallisters)

This movie was a harder watch after finding out I had ADHD. I always related to Kevin, and it felt so obvious to me as an adult that the family seemed so ADHD coded. Of course I know that probably wasn't the intention, but then forgetting Kevin and always running late/oversleeping, it just seems fitting. His traps are also very ADHD coded, he's quick thinking. Idk
