I always look back at this episode and wonder why it even aired. The truck should've been Dq'd as soon as it ran faster than what it was suppose to, by nearly a second. Nate wasn't crazy, that literally happened in front of everyone - But no one acknowledged it.

First of all they didn't have the times running so who knows how fast the truck was even running. And secondly if you listened they switched the converter and just got the trans brake working for these races. I don't know If you've ever built a car and had to guess how fast it's going to be on a track you've never been to but usually people are pretty conservative with the guess

That's part of racing like this. When giving spots or bracket racing, this is a well-known thing that is just part of the strategy to win. You can call it cheating or whatever you want but there's never been a rule book saying you can't pedal a car to slow it down if needed. Tell me you've never been around racing before without telling me you've never been around racing before

Camera under the hood would likely be more reliable, but yeah they definitely need a way to show sand bagging. Pinks also needs to monitor tuning and electronic controllers. Particularly turbo. Plenty of people have been shown to be running at low boost then change it all of a sudden later. Also no scramble buttons.
