Pinnacle Studio 17 Ultimate Live screen capture tutorial

Today I will be teaching you how to use Live screen capture from Pinnacle Studio 17 ultimate edition. This Software is great for editing videos and much much more! Enjoy :)

Thanks for the tip. I have been using Pinnacle V17 since it was introduced as the latest and greatest thing since V16 and never knew there was a "live screen capture" capability in the Ultimate package. I looked in the directories you named and, sure enough, there was "vsscap.exe". I dragged it onto the desktop, created a shortcut there, and I was in business. This comes in handy when our grandson performs with his university's percussion ensemble. The first time I had a 30 second notice and whipped out my video camera, set it on a tripod, cropped with the zoom to the screen, turned up the volume, turnedd out the lights and let it run. Then I edited it in Pinnacle, wrote it to a dvd and sent it to our daughter. VSSCAP definitely simplifies that. He has another performance this afternoon in another 50 minutes. The DVD this time will not only be better, it will be accomplished quicked.Thanks again.

OMG for the longest time I have been looking for this feature I was told was on the dang thing and here finally you show me where to find it! I hate that things don't come with instructions anymore...I used to read the dictionary sized manuals for programs like this because I wanted to know all the ins and outs of the program and didn't want to miss a single feature...gosh sure glad you showed this cuz I bought this over a year ago to record my minecraft videos...now to figure out how to make the small cam video up in the corner while I record my screen...hmmm...one problem solved thanks to you! you are a life saver!

Thank you so much for this video! You were a God-send. I did not know that Pinnacle 17 Ultimate would do screen capture. You answered that and showed me how to do it. It's working great! The voice recorder works, but I haven't figured how to get the system audio to record. I see the the setting but to no avail. Thanks man for getting me started with this. :)

With Pinnacle 21, you can find it quickly searching vss. But it isn't assigned to program files (x 86). The route that the automatic setup installed for me was this: ProgramData > Microsoft > Windows > Start Menu > Programs > Pinnacle Studio 21.

Your tutorial helped a lot. What amazes me is that the Pinnacle 17.5 users manual has absolutely nothing (as far as I can see) on how to use the live screen capture and they list this as one of the features to sell the software! It's one of the reasons I bought it and was dumbfounded when I found no instructions on how to access the function. Even on their website, there's nothing in the "Knowledge Base" inquiry. thanks for the video. For some reason, when I import the video into studio and try to edit it, the quality is awful. The video quality is fine when i open the regular file on wmp. any suggestions?

I still use this for screen sharing but I have noticed that after 3-4 minutes the video continues but the audio drops. Any fixes on that?

I have got only the first one so it doesn 't work :( But I have got Windows 10 and PS 21. Is that the problem?

don't click and drag?? huh?? do you know how to use a PC? prolly not - you brought norton 360 err.. right click and drag the file to the desk top.... a menu pops up - easy...

Jason Morgan Yes, but if you do that with this certain application it will not open. If you make a shortcut however it opens properly. If you would have listened to the video, I mentioned this.
