There are many things to do. That might be a video that never ends... I have videos that cover specific topics of video editing...Pan and Zoom, Split clips, trimming, L cuts, J cuts, PIP, resize, crop, keyframes, etc. etc. etc.

I have a question for you (or anyone else reading this). I am having a problem with track synchronization while editing and I noticed the issue happened here in this video @17:27. When I have multiple tracks with clips in each track... say 3 tracks... I may line a clip in track one with something in track 2. But when I add or delete something in track 2, and the clips are moved forward or back in time.. the clip in track one stays put... it does move with the items in track 2, thus throwing everything out of sync between track 1 and track 2. If I make an edit in track 2 or 3 I would have to go back and move the clips around in track 1. Ok, if I only have one or two tracks but if I have a complex edit between several tracks this can become a nightmare and a major editing headache. Whats going on and how to fix it?

use the mark in and mark out buttons to select a portion of the clip, export just the portion you want, and save it to the location of your watch folder.

Hi Maliek! I have a question about adding speed/timelapses on Pinnacle Studio 21.I've been using PS 19 without a problem on my computer, adding speed/creating sped up or slowed down clips by shrinking or stretching said video clip has always been a breeze and very intuitive!That being said, I was able to get the new version, Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate, at my work computer. I'm trying to add speed to video clips but I keep running into a problem that I've never encountered before, not even on older versions of Pinnacle Studio.For example, let's say I have a 1 minute video clip, I want to speed up the 0:10 second - 0:20 second so I always cut the video at those time-marks, then I click on the "stretch" button in the "add speed" menu and shrink it down to a 3 second clip, so now the 10 second video clip is sped up so it only has a duration of 3 seconds. This always works without a problem on PS 19.On Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate, however, it doesn't. When ever I cut the same video clip at the 0:10 second - 0:20 second mark out of the 1 minute video and then add speed->stretch (or shrink) down to a duration of 3 seconds then that 3 second clip now has the entire 1 minute clip in it sped up to fit into 3 seconds. Would you know why it's speeding up the entire 1 minute video clip instead of the 10 second clip I cut out of it?I hope my question and explanation isn't too confusing. :)

As I stated you base the project settings / video standard on how you want to export your video. If you do not know how you want to export your video you should research the best settings for the platform that you will deliver your video on (KZbin, phone, TV, Computer, etc.).

Maleic, love you channel lot of great information. I have Pinnacle 22 I’m trying to pan from bottom to top on a narrow picture its actual dimensions are 9” x 5’. How in the world do I get it to pan from bottom to top in a zoomed in 100%. I’m making a commercial for my company and it must be a tight shot from bottom to top.

You can then at a later stage go back to that menu and choose to cut the dvd. How do you first write in 21 and then cut later?

Great video as always. Do you have a video that you can point me to that will help me with a problem I have having? I am using Pinnacle on Japanese footage from Japanese dvd's. However, when ever I export a video, the video speed is sped up. A 20 minute video is sped into a 16 minute video with 4 minutes of black screen every time. What do I do? I've even tried cutting all the audio.

Sorry I do not have experience with that issue. If you have the right region selected (NTSC for Japan) then it should be working. Check on the forum to see if anyone there can help.

Cant you help me now my husband films with his camera. then he sometimes deletes a file that was not ok. when I put them on the computer to work with them, in my video program picnaccel studio 26, another file is put in the place where he has deleted the other one. but on the camera all files load correctly. someone who knows what to do. as we are going on a trip of 2 months, so it will be a shame to fight with it when so much has to be edited

Nice video. When you're trimming the video at about 20 minutes in you are clicking in one of the two boxes which highlight in yellow and then drag left or right to adjust clip length. The only problem I can see is that the play head doesnt stay at the point your trimming so you can't accurately see where your trimming to? Is there a way that you can have the viewer stay at the exact frame?

Unfortunately not. The playhead represents the starting point and the yellow line represents the frame you are trimming to.

Hi. Looks like the update today has fixed where the play head is. It's now on the cut as it moves so you can see the in and out better. The only issues now though is it's not smooth. It's like I don't have enough processing power to keep up. I'd be interested in your experience now. Keep up the good work by the way.

Dear Maliek without your tutorials it would be impossible to do a decent job on Pinnacle.Keep up the great job.I need some help please. I am using a Gropro 7 on PInnacle Studio 21 Ultimate. If any clip requires time repmapping, it takes almost an eternity to finish the rendering. I have decent hardware, I'm sure hardware it not the issue. Same kind of thing if done on a mac on final cut pro takes literally seconds. I've done things like reducing the playback optimization, but that clearly not the solution. Can you please help with a workable solution?

Hi Maliek. I recently upgraded to 21 Ultimate. Saw you describe the 'Match Color' feature and icon. Is that a standard feature? - I do not see that icon nor can I find it in the users manual for 21.

Color Match was removed from the product last week due to bugs. They might bring it back with a patch in the future.
