The more I play with Pinnacle, the more I like it. I started with old JVC and Panasonic SVHS editing decks....tape to tape. I edited on the first digital machines like Video Toaster. In the late 90s Media 100 was all the rage. Early 2000s, I got a free download of Pinnacle as part of a Dazzle I bought to transfer some old VHS tapes. I have used all versions of Pinnacle since then. I briefly left and dabbled with King Adobe, but I came back to Pinnacle for 21.5 I like the ease of operation, I like being able to stay in one program, I like the included plug ins, i like the option to get approved plug ins that do not crash, and I love all the tutorial videos. I like when he does his Damon Wayans impressions from In Living Color. Anyone else catch that? I have edited commercial work and now documentaries on this version of Pinnacle. It has some impressive capabilities. I love Adobe....but it is not always necessary to drive the Ferrari to the Grocery Store. I think a lot of editors would be happy if they played with Pinnacle's program for a week and it would fit their needs better. I would love to see what others have created with Pinnacle. What do others think of the final products Pinnacle vs Adobe? What's in store for Pinnacle 22?

Thanks for so many great tutorials, they have been very helpful for a number of years. Please could make a video showing us how to effectively use special effects, layered backgrounds, overlays etc. from an external source. I use Digital Juice for these types of elements but find it extremely difficult to use the elements which have numerous layers. thanks again for your great channel.

I currently have Studio Plus Version version 9 and am trying the Free Trial Pinnacle Studio. I assume it is the Studio Version 21. Is it possible to import projects from Studio Version 9 into Version 21 and edit them?

I have problem in editing with measurement. It seems that the videos are measured in frames which I understand but when does a frame end and second begins. In other words, how many frames make up a second? I do not see this on the scale on how to measure from second to second as well as from frame to frame?

It depends on how you have your timeline setup for the project. What my Control Panel video to determine how to setup the project timeline. If your project is setup as 1920 x 1080 24p (fps or frames per second) then 24 frames = 1 second. If your project is setup as 1920 x 1080 30p then 30 frames = 1 second.

I have to confess, I'm pretty discouraged with Pinnacle. I've had it for two years now and pretty much just let it sit there. My wife bought if for me because my's nephew said it was great. Now I need it for work and haven't been able to make it work like in these videos. I wish that I could but I am ready to give up and try something else.

Do you know how to make nested sequences like in premiere pro? It's like taking a bunch of individual clips, transitions, effects, etc. and making them into one individual track on the timeline. It's not necessarily just grouping tracks together.

the library in pinn 21 is terrible it imports all the files from the pc. The music mp3 are all renamed in mp1 mp2 mp3 etc.

Anthony Pierre it imports all the files from former videos made with pinn 19 and also the musicfiles These mp3 and other musicfiles will be renamed as I mentioned before. Now i am working with Cyberlink powerdirector 16 and that is much better.

It only does that if you have the folders selected where those files are by default. Blaming a program for user error is not the best thing to do.

Pinnacle has a lot of problems they should deal with and fix before they sell their products. I hate that we the users are the ones who have to endure all the glitches and bring it to their attention AFTER we have bought the product and can't use it! It's very frustrating.
