I love Chamonix! It’s the way that we climbed up to Mt Blanc, crossed over the ice fields and down into Italy. I don’t mean that we actually climbed because we were just along for the ride in tramways and telecabins.

Thank you! We abseiled the route and then we skied the usual Vallee Blanche route to Montenvers and then to Chamonix

Cogne was getting dry end of December, but I don't know if the current cold has improved the conditions. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

Why have you switched back to climbing with the Nomics? I know you used to favor the Ergonomics.

Yes. After having climbed with both, my conclusion is that the Ergonomics are great for overhangs, but for vertical terrain, I prefer the Nomics because they are lighter, despite the feel a bit less stable.
