Maybe I’m projecting, but to me this feels like someone who struggles with social situations for whatever reason (autism, BPD) is trying to find people that understand them, but instead gets hit with that big ol ban hammer because their behavior is too ‘alien’ or because they just don’t understand and likely refuse to. To reiterate it feels to me like it’s about constantly searching for a group that understands you, likely online due to the 404 page not found theme, but constantly being misunderstood and banned. At the end I’m not sure what they mean by destroying the planet, but the fire reminds me of the saying ‘The child not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth.’ Which is pretty ominous actually.
I love how most vocaloid songs produced normally imply everyday life struggles, some end with sorrowful endings or finding the beauty and gratefulness in it, this though pretty much has the meaning of an african proverb or something that goes "The child who doesn't get the love and embrace of the tribe will burn it down to feel it's warmth". Thanks for another song PinoochioP.

I've never noticed this but a lot of Pincchiop's songs are about being alienated (personally I think in relation to how, at least as an autistic person, a lot of social ques come off as silly), it's not even restriced to things like 'Hello Mr. Earthling' where there are literal aliens trying to be diplomatic while pointing out how silly people can be, but also 'Everything about animals' where people are put on the same level as animals and what people do seem so trivial, that it's not real rock and roll. The person there is also left without friends. In Ultimate Senpai they struggle with fitting in and being healthy, both mentally and physically. They dance to the sound of construction sites, eat day old hamburgers but called the Ultimate Senpai because despite writhing on the ground and covering for their enemies, they keep going. Not dead yet. In Sick Sick Sick it's fairly obvious the singer either doesn't understand love from how they describe it as a sickness, or try to deny it or avoid it altogether. Either way they don't quite understand love like how other people do. In Ghosts Play to the Audience the ghost/singer talks about doing what kind of things they like [presumably like haunting people or even putting on a play] regardless of whether it's popular or not, and that they have their own opinions which they want to be rewarded for, or maybe just doing what they like. In Medicine for Good Kids they have to take medicine for their dangerous thinking, but the singer mentions prior that it's legal but makes them uneasy. They also mention both bad & good people liking manga and loafing about, suggesting seeing them both as just regular people unlike others who put those labels on. In Sayonara Human the singer recognizes someone as human but questions what a human actually is, until someone else mentions that they too are human. Though later on they mention 'it would be nice if tomorrow I could be a human too' meaning either they're not originally human or don't 'feel human'. Then there's 'I just hate people' which can speak for itself as well as this song I'm commenting on. Though fyi this is all gleamed from the english subtitles and there's probably stuff suggesting otherwise or possibly more I'm unaware of. It could relate to ASD as well, considering the lacking resources for mental health in japan it wouldn't be surprising to have autistic people go undiagnosed and end up staying in their house all the time because no one understands them or gets what masking/mirroring is. I'm pretty sure it _still_ happens here. edit: yooo thanks for all the replies, m' very happy people read this and I reccomend you check the replies because people are adding other songs that follow this theme, like Kosei pointing out 'All I need are the things I like'

Off topic but thanks for this comment it gave me nostalgia from those other Pinocchiop p songs. Even though he’s getting more popular I still feel like this is a waste land and only I know of these songs. Have a nice day stranger!

I like how the 4040404 being Yon-maru-yon-maru-yon-maru-yon sounds like Gambaru-Gambaru-Gambaruyou, which basically means " You can do it "

The second I saw the design I thought "this is about being autistic isn't it?" and it could be but idk if PinocchioP would be aware enough of how much being neurodivergent effects socializing. It's just that "being an alien" so to speak is a very common experience for us neurodivergent folk trying to understand people who ware neurotypical and trying to get otehrs to understand our experiences.

this song is ABSOLUTELY about having high-functioning autism, A.K.A "Wrong Planet Syndrome".
@Joshua-ty6pm4 жыл бұрын
I think that the meaning behind the song is that they are pretending their personality because society doesn't accept them for who they are. They feel left out, almost as they don't exist and their true selves aren't found. (error 404) Near the end of the song it says 悲しくて地球ごと消してしまった (But I was too sad I wiped out the entire planet) I think it could refer to two things. 1. They couldn't handle it anymore so they "destroyed" the planet by cutting connection from them. 2. They couldn't handle it anymore so they killed themselves so that no one could hurt them emotionally and mentally anymore.

If one can't accept the harmless things within another one, the another one shouldn't talk to them, as that'll lead to pointless discomfort and arguments. Misunderstandings are innate to relationships, if you don't want them try to understand or get a stuffed toy. I wonder if this character will appear again, he needs some comrades.
@BlueLover7074 жыл бұрын
checking the description, apparently this character is for a group called strawberry prince? so they likely wont show up again unless pinocchiop is commissioned for another song
I'm not the only one who thinks this song has the old pinocchiop style vibe, right?

the last 3-4 pinoP songs have had the vibe of his old style (the nostalgic, nihilism and sadness - think Secret Himitsu for example ) this one is also extremely classic pinoP feeling
I usually don't like subtitles that appear in the screen the same way that the japanese lyrics do. They either appear too late or the colours are too confusing or the text is moving too much BUT the subtitles of this music video are amazing! Super comfortable to read. I had no trouble understanding them and there was no searching around the screen in order to find where the letters had gone hahaha. I say the person who submitted them did an incredible job.

honestly i feel like this could be a sequel of sorts to Nice to Meet You Mr Earthling? or rather a darker version of the same song? both involve alien main characters (both physically and metaphorically), and both talk about having trouble fitting in and imply returning to where they came from. thematically they cover the same issues as well, so I think this could very well be a different take/interpretation of the same story

Man can we talk about the MV? I love how it's full of colours and the character design is so cute! I also love the animations and the aliens dancing at the back, it fits the song really well Definitely one of my pinocchiop's favs
