Part 8 of our Southern Luzon Bicol Joyride series :-)
From Calauag Quezon we enter a portion of Santa Elena in Camarines Norte towards the last municipality of Quezon province which is Tagkawayan and then we finally reach Camarines Sur Bicol Region via the N68 Rolando Andaya Highway or also known as Quezon - Camsur Highway. Passing the Camarines Sur municipalities of Del Gallego, Ragay, Lupi and ending in Sipocot.

Starting ng 20:25 yan na ang Sentro ng Bayan ng Tagkawayan (yung me kalsada sa kanan papasok nun) ;) Sa 21:29 naman ang Terminal ng AB Liner na bumabyahe sa mga bayan bayan ng Quezon. Matagal nga lang ang byahe papuntang turbina at Alabang pero makakarating kadin sa Manila ;-) Sa 23:25 naman ang boundary ng Tagkawayan at Del Gallego CamSur. Sa 23:30 naman is nasa Right side naman si Villa Aseea resort. Kilala namin yan ;-) Dyan ako nagstostopover bago dumeretso ng Sipocot hanggang Naga. Nandyan din yung dating Arko ng Bicol Region pero nilipat na sa may Sta. Elena after ng Calauag Quezon.

I can see that this is the new ADDA law compliant location of the dash cam. Notice the town junctions? Designed in the 70s way before the renaissance of the use of roundabouts re-ignited. So many of those triangle 3-way junctions with so many blind spots or full stop lines [where no one ever does a full stop] would have been safer with rotunda's. Good you post the new DPWH highway signs and shields. In 2010, the Mercedes Benz dealer took out 14 latest model Mercedes and made some 20 of us motoring journalists drive that road up to CamSur. Many spots were still broken concrete in need of re blocking. It was a test for the smooth Mercedes suspension and their ultra low profile tires, which survived the pummeling. Oh there were opportunities to max the speedo, specially in the latest E-class, S-class, ML class and R-class. We even had an S class hybrid. There were 5 stops so each of us were able to drive 5 models going and the other 5 on the return trip. Tiring tho as CamSur's accommodations were not really top class.

Compared to your video, there were a lot less areas with asphalt overlay in 2010. More towards the remote areas, were broken concrete with cracks that could bend alloy wheels of 20 in. diameter and 50 to 45 series rubber. It was a media event with many of us driving the latest model - C-class, E-class, S-class + S-class hybrid, ML class, GL class and R-class.

Any skyway stage 3 updates? Skyway must have a hard time finishing. Naiax is already done but skyway still not. Its almost 4 years. I mean on the bright side we build that not other countries (better if Japan builds that since the quality is good and they make earthquake resistant buildings)

Sir Valencia I think dpat I extend ang MRT 3 so people would have a direct access to J.W. diokno ave or moa. The problem is that it may affect the intersection. It should be built maybe under the intersections ( underground like a subway) or add flyovers like in Ortigas and Magallanes. Like this Roxas Blvd J.W. Diokno ave/MOA Sure it might not be a solution to traffic but at least it would maybe have a direct access to these places. But that's gonna take like 2-4 yrs. People can hate my opinion if they want to, but that's what I think.

The South Luzon Expressway (SLE or SLEx), formerly known as the South Superhighway (SSH), Manila South Diversion Road (MSDR), and Manila South Expressway (MSEX), is a network of two expressways that connects Metro Manila to the provinces of the Calabarzon region in the Philippines. The first expressway is the Skyway, operated jointly by the Skyway Operation and Management Corporation (SomCo) and Citra Metro Manila Tollways Corporation (CMMTC). The second expressway, the South Luzon Tollway or Alabang-Calamba-Santo Tomas Expressway (ACTEX), is jointly operated by the South Luzon Tollway Corporation, a joint venture of the Philippine National Construction Corporation and the San Miguel Corporation-backed Citra group of Indonesia (the group where MTD Capital Berhad, the original partner, sold their shares) via the Manila Toll Expressway Systems, Inc. (MATES). The expressway is a component of Expressway 2 (E2) of the Philippine expressway network and Radial Road 3 (R-3) of Manila's arterial road network. It starts in Manila's Paco District at Quirino Avenue and passes through the following cities and municipalities: Makati, Pasay, Parañaque, Taguig and Muntinlupa in Metro Manila, San Pedro and Biñan in Laguna, Carmona in Cavite, then transverses again to Biñan, Santa Rosa, Cabuyao and Calamba in Laguna and ends in Santo Tomas in Batangas. Sige po sir. Nakakalito po kasi. Sergio osmena highway part talaga ng slex pero magallanes onwards alabang. Skyway at grade na po yun sabi po ni SirKatzwagen. At tsaka sir valencia after skyway stage 3 ma complete sana ma run na yan ng Skyway. So ibig sabihin po nun. Sales/NAIA Expressway/NAIA Interchange po yung last segment po bago mag pay ng toll. Kaya pala may toll barrier sa Sales-Nichols boundary

Tama si Eldre Maranan. Bicol is a language. A dialect is a different variation of the same Language like for example Tagalog. There is Bulacan Tagalog, Tayabas Tagalog and Batangas Tagalog dialects. The different dialects of Tagalog is still understood by other people from Batangas, Bulacan and Quezon, etc. albeit there are some words that are totally foreign to the listener. Language meanwhile has a different grammar system, vocabulary and phonology like for example Kapampangan is totally different from Waray. In this case, Tagalog, Ilocano, Kapampangan, Cebuano, Chavacano, Hiligaynon, Bicolano, etc. are different languages in the Philippines and not dialects.
