Pinoy Joyride - Recto Avenue Joyride (Recto Legarda Magsaysay Blvd)

This drive was from Recto towards Magsaysay Boulevard passing Legarda. It was a very smooth drive without traffic and not much jeepneys plying the road. Recto Avenue is one of the busiest roads in the city of Manila. Remember the U Belt? Enjoy watching!

during my college years way back 1990-1994... napakahirap mag commute dahil sa TRAFFIC!! at ung mga binubuga ng mga tambutso ng mga jeepneys at mga iba't ibang sasakyan---grabehh! kulay itim... ang taas ng level ng air pollution. ang white uniforms namin magiging PUTIM na. tambay kmi sa SM sta. mesa, isetann sa recto, masaya na rin kaming mga students kahit magulo.. tanggap na nmin ganun talaga eh, basta aral aral lang ng mabuti. thank you SIR! you let me remember the past. kasama na rin ung mga BAHA tuwing tag-ulan😃😂

Nice video and been on the MRT-2 from Santolan Terninal Station to Recto via Cubao for Buses to Bataan via EDSA from Pasay NAIA which is on top of the road you are in. My stop on the MRT-2 eastern extension is Emerald since it's cross road is Felix Ave and Recto is home to buses to Bataan that terminate at Avenida

The buildings around Recto are old, well most of the buildings... it brings back nostalgia yet i am saddened by the backward-ness of the place (trash and order)...I hope Advocates for heritage preservation group would also advocate preserving some of the buildings here...

I definitely enjoyed the ride on three of Manila's busy thoroughfares in this joyride, even though the traffic was rather light. The LRT 1 line has been in view for much of the route you took. I was amazed at so many colleges in universities packed in one area known as the University Belt, some of which are close to Malacanan Palace. Through your past joyrides within Metro Manila, I've seen various districts where the architecture tells the story of the area from its beginnings to the mega structures of today and the future. The metropolis is still evolving one day at a time, as you got it well-captured through your lens.

We got a lousy law called Anti Distracted Driving Law... so better buya car with a built in GPS instead. A 4x2 suv would be a nice one. As it can withstand the road conditions and occasional flooding on low lying areas.

hindi lang literal na basura pari nagtataasang basurang bilkboards at mga tarpaulins at mga promotional streamers... sidewalk vendor at sidewalk paeking. sa manila gusto instant, sakay at baba sa tapat ng bahay. ayaw nila integrated centralized bus station kasi maglalakad pa daw. mga bus kahit saan pick up at baba... pag sa abrod may designated pick up and drop at anf bus terminal sinasadya talaga na pupuntaha... mga lokal officials, mayors at city administrator hindi binabantayan ang ciudad sa informal settlers at ang mga nagmanay ari ng lupa pinapaupahan at tinatayuan ng shanties... lahat pwede sa manila.

Most of the Philippines roads/sts. are ugly bcoz there no greens.... so gloomy and its not interesting seems no attraction at all...please the City of Manila and nearby cities do your share in beautifying our streets by adding greens and lamp post with matching hanging plants in it. Were far behind by our neighbouring asian countries... how can we attract tourist locals and international when in fact we can do it better.

if you are referring to this video.. i am not sure which part are you referring to, you must be mistaken by the stoplights Manila city has been using with regards to red and green. Anyway thanks for watching. Added - From the three way stoplight , the city of Manila has been using the arrow box stoplights which abruptly turns red and you wouldnt like to step on the breaks in the middle of the intersection. With regards to the pedestrian you are mentioning, we do stop and let pedestrian pass on the right pedestrian lane.
