Hi, Sir Freddy, I saw your vlog and I thank you for your videos. Recently I got accepted as a tattoo artist in a studio in Oxford, UK and they said that I could work there as long as I can secure a working visa. They are also willing to sponsor me however I am also not sure if a tattoo artist would get a working visa because tattooing is not an established field of work unlike others. Very informative indeed. Thank you po. I’ve been living in the UK for nearly 8 years and I realised I had a passion for teaching. I started to work in Hospitality industry when I came here then I realised I enjoyed working with children. I did my Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching assistant qualification alongside GCSE English, Math and Science. Then I realised again I need another qualification that focused on Early Years (Birth to seven) to fully understand child development. I enrolled myself again to Early Years Educator qualification (Lols, I just enjoy learning) then I realised I would like to pursue a career in teaching (Preferably Early Years/KS1). I had a degree in the Philippines however the equivalent via UK NARIC is Higher Education. Currently I was doing my Foundation Degree in Early Years (Level 4 and L5). Planning to top it up to BA and do QTS. I am also working in a primary school in London as Early Years Educator/Teaching Assistant for more than 3 years. I am pleased the school I am working with is very supportive on my schooling. Thank you sa advices po.

I've only met a couple of our kababayan here in London that are into teaching that's why you put a smile on this channel! Please note that if you have L4 and L5 qualifications, these are equivalent to 1st and 2nd-year in the University framework. So, you are right, you can top-up to complete a BSc/BA degree, but as I said in this video, you can take a route where a degree has QTS programme. Since you love studying, I suggest that you also take SEN programme, especially you want to become a primary school teacher. Kung admin sa isang school ay pareho lang sa industry. Ang pinagkaiba lang ay you need a DBS or criminal check na pwede lang mag-work sa children centric environment. I hope this is clear at maraming salamat sa support!

Hello, kung private schools, meron silang sariling rules. Ibig sabhin pwede silang mag-employ ng overseas teachers. Hindi rin lahat ng private school ay mag-require ng QTS. By the way, ang tawag sa mga private schools dito ay independent schools.

I did not pass GCSEs Maths and Science so I'm seeing if the DET Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training will suffice after graduating CHED based course sa Pinas. I see i'll still need them , but mayda alternatives , other than key skills? Your degree can prove your English competency as well as your maths. However, you better check whether your training provider will accept just your degree (which I think they will) because you complete a degree. Are you planning to gain QTLS though you are in the Philippines?

Ask ko lang po if ano magagawa ko if ang qualification ko po dito sa pinas ay doctor of education major in educational leadrship and management. Sa Masters ko naman po ay English ang major ko. Elementary teacher po ako dito sa atin. May 9 units po ako sa Early Childhood Education ? 16 years po ang experience ko sa public school at 3 years naman po sa private school. Madaling mag-apply ng visit visa (lalu na kung nag-wo-work ka abroad). Syempre kailangan mo ng letter sa sponsor mo. I will be honest, nag-visit visa ako nung unang punta ko dito sa UK. Pero since, type-C ung visa, sabi ng employer sa akin ay mahihirapan akong maghanap ng work and better to apply ng skilled visa - kaya nag-apply ako ng skilled visa.

Ang gulo, not everything that you said was explained. You assumed na we already know what each terminologies you used mean, like first honor grade and etc, expound dapat, we dont use that in the Philippines. And most especially, you should have mentioned the equivalence of being a LET passer there, which I think is important but you missed. Feeling ko tuloy, di ka qualified teacher dito sa Pinas at nagpaka-feeling teacher ka nalang and ventured out of pH kahit you're not really a trained teacher. Nakakainis ang teacher na hindi marunong magexplain and expound. Teacher pa more.

Sobrang nakakataba ng puso na naging daan ako para mga katulong (kahit papaano) sa ating mga kababayan. Una, it's good to know that you are completing a degree in maths - sabi ko nga sa vlog ko, isa ito sa shortage dito sa UK. Kung ako sayo, kung matatapos mo ang MA mo, eh have an international experience, like working sa Middle East or kahit saan bago sa main destination mo, tapos duon ka mag-aral. I think you need decide (long term) kung gusto mong magturo sa primary or secondary - ang pinagkaiba eh kailangan mo ng GCSE sa science if you want to teach sa primary. Check mo din muna ang equivalency ng qualifications mo sa UK standard para alam mo kung ano ung dapat mong kunin - baka kasi equivalent. Tapos ng lahat, mag-enquire ka sa Open University - ang maganda ngayon ay karamihan ay blended learning syempre investment ito kaya kailangan mo ng funds. Sorry, ang haba ng message ko sayo.
