Great video, taking alot of the intimidation out of setting up my AIO myself. This was probably the main thing holding me back from finally putting things together instead of making excuses to do something else. Thank you and Mike for laying the groundwork!!

What an excellent video. Thank you Major Frenchy for sharing. I have a generic virtual pinball cabinet I'm going to add a pinscape and this is a lot of help.

This was a great overview. It would be neat if the Pinscspe software could export a file which DOF could import. This would likely alleviate mapping issues. You’d likely still need to tweak things but I’m sure it would alleviate issues and make the whole process easier/faster!
@MajorFrenchy4 жыл бұрын
That is a great idea. The issue with virtual pinball is that it is very ad hoc and different people work on different things.
@scampana48644 жыл бұрын
@@MajorFrenchy I agree, but I thought DOF and Pinscape were developed by only a few individuals. I’m probably wrong though!

Mr. Frenchy, You mentioned in the video that your night mode does not work. @15:26 you show how you configure night mode. I also noticed Button 11 was still configured for "Left MagnaSave" was that an oversite or intentional. I would guess that if you have two same PC buttons configured, that the first one in line would fire first. That is possibly what might be happening in this case.

I did mention that I did not have it setup on mine.

Yeah, you should have put up text on the screen saying it was supposed to be button eleven to be coin in, to help others realize it was an error. (other helpful videos do this) The left flipper now is coin in which is totally wrong.. opps!. Great other instructions though.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial, your a legend mate. Am I correct in thinking that if I have an ipac for my buttons and running plunger and nudge through my kl25z, tilt wownt work. Due to having the ipac.
@MajorFrenchy2 жыл бұрын
You don't need an ipac if you have the Kl. And the nudge will work. mjrnet.org/pinscape/BuildGuideV2/BuildGuide.php?sid=nudge. Tx for the kind words

Hi, I noticed you have an underlying board on your klz25 which makes it easier to screw in the cables into the green sockets. My klz came without this. any idea where i can get the underlying board? Because my klz came with pins and they had to be mounted with pc-jfp1-like connectors, and these connectors keep coming off. it's really hard to get them done right, and id hate to disassemble the klz and start over again, and it would become trial and error for many times. i have to crawl underneath the machine because it doesn't have top-down access. Thanks yáll for the respose ahead of time. if there are additional comments yall would like to add, they are welcome.

Great video BTW.

What you are describing is just the way the kl25Z is mounted on the Pinscape board. There are similar boards out there as the Pinscape board is no longer being offered. You can look at Arnzoz KLSHield or other vendors might offer similar products. This will allow you to connect the KL25Z directly on a board and make it easier for connecting things on it. Now one thing to keep in mind, if you already soldered the pins on the kl25z, they may not fit on the extension board depending on the board configuration so you may have to desolder the 0.1" Pin Headers off the Kl25z and re solder to make it fit.

Can somebody tell me where I can get help installing pinscape? I get an error every time I have tried to install it. It seems to install but when I click on the configuration button, I get an window that says: An error occurred loading the device settings.(Error retreiving value for var 4) Do you want to try again. When I cancel I get a greyed out configuration utility with this error: Internal error has occurred within the config tool. This is probably due to a bug in the program, not anything you did wrong. Technical details (for debugging): html/Configure.htm, line 9092, col 17 TypeError: Unable to get property 'type' of undefined or null reference. I have tried 6 times and can't get past this.

Love your Videos. Great help always. I faced a problem with Pinscape Expansion-Boards since Win10 was updated. Causing ejecting Pinscape all the time. Saw in the "mrjnet Pinscape Resources" that I have to put an USB-Hub to fix it hence the Motherboard seems not able to handle Pinscape (anymore). Therefore my question: do you Guys disable Windows Updates?
@MajorFrenchy4 жыл бұрын
No windows updates can not be turned off anymore, they can be delayed for awhile. If the Pinscape disconnects, it has to be a conflict with your usb bus. Do you use any kind of hub or splitter? Go by process of elimination starting with the cable.
@mkslave91084 жыл бұрын
@@MajorFrenchy Yes, it seems to be the USB Bus. With older Win-Version the conflict is not showing up. Yes, I use a USB Hub as a workaround. This is proposed on mjrnet.org/pinscape/
