Hello! I just discovered your channel!! I enjoy the way you cook!!! I live in Texas!! You make your beans very similar to the way my mother would minus the pig tails!! She would've added salt jowls!! I'm disabled, so I can't stand for long periods of time!! I've changed the way I make my pinto beans!! I start my pot liquor with boneless ham hocks, smoked pork jowl bacon and a small piece of salt jowl! My seasonings are garlic and onion powder, black pepper and red pepper flakes. In Texas we have a pinto bean seasoning by Bolner's Fiesta Brand Spices. I add that also! If you are looking for their line of spices, you can find them online!! I put my beans in a Crockpot and pour the pot liquor over them. Then I put it on low when I go to bead and they're ready when I wake up!!! Just a option if you don't want to stand over a hot stove!! Also if you want them sooner than overnight, put the Crockpot on high for 4-5 hours!! 🤔🤨🧐😉🥰✌️❤🙏
