Orca is a 7 year old Black and White NASD / Friesian stallion. He stands 16.hh and weighs approx. 1350 lbs.
Orca is the modern Sport Friesian. He is compact with uphill conformation. Orca has 3 incredible elastic gaits combined with extraordinary balance. As a three year old he was 1st place among Warmblood Stallions at the NW Sporthorse Breeders Classic with a "9" on his walk and an overall score of 78%. Orca has been shown Training Level and First Level Open with scores in the mid to upper 70's. Orca is currently schooling Second and Third level dressage.
In addition to exemplary movement and excellent conformation, Orca has a wonderful temperament. He is calm, confident and gentle; a characteristic that he passes along to his offspring. To date; ALL of Orca's offspring have been tobiano colored and are showing themselves to have Orca's "PRESENCE".
Orca is registered with Friesian Heritage Horse as well as American Warmblood Society. He received a "ster" rating under saddle with the Friesian Heritage Horse.
Orca comes to us via the West Coast and he is available to be bred to your quality mare. This is a truly gorgeous stallion with an amazingly long neck and a gorgeous head. If you are looking to add movement, color, style and substance to your breeding program this is a stallion for you to consider.

I LOVE this horse!!! I saw him on line as a 3 yr old and considered purchasing him. because I am an 'older' amateut, my trainer discouraged me from pursuing him [I would have had him gelded]...I purchased an older SWB School Master but have been following Orca for the past 4 yrs. He is NOT pure Friesian but whatever he was crossed with produced a lovely horse with LOVELY gaits. His color is spectacular! I hope he passes his good qualities to his offspring, I'd love to see him in person!

I don't care if this horse is pure bred or not, I'd put a mare to him just for that gate, he is wonderful. And his coloring and his head position are flawless. He is a great piece of horse flesh and I hope you count yourself lucky to own him.

Most famous pinto Friesian is a Dutch Friesian called Bonte Willem van Nassau. Beautiful horse. Friesian. They gave them a seperate studbook now called Barock Pinto.

While I'm definitely used to solid black Friesians this fellow is very handsome and I love his lofty springy trot full of power. I wonder if he's ever been given Dressage training as he'd certainly be good at it. I can only dream what a foal from him would be like. He's what's usually known in the UK as a "hairy piebald cob". A well-made one, but not too different from the kind of horse you'll find in riding stables up and down the country.

Friesian horses DO NOT only come in Black although that is the primary color for them. Fire Magic is a PUREBRED Chestnut Friesian and he is Red. Orca is a very beautiful Friesian/Pinto cross with superb lines. If he's been registered with the Friesian Heritage Horse Society then they consider him MORE Friesian than Pinto. He's breathtaking. And for those that say that Fire Magic isn't a Friesian think again..

Not all draft horses that have paint/pinto patterns are gypsy vanners. In the description it says he is a "Sport Friesian" So yes, he is a friesian cross of some kind. He probably has some warmblood in him.

@Saartje05 Chestnut is the recessive allele of the E gene, which also codes for the dominant black allele. It is very very rare but chestnut is possible in Friesians if you have two Heterogeneous parents.

Here you will find almost all Friesians in front of carts. Decades ago they were used by some farmers in front of a plough . They´re still very popular here, but it´s a Dutch breed so that´s no so weird. People do ride them, but most of the time they´re being used as driving horses.

They're not claiming that it's 100% Friesian, and if someone thinks that this horse could be pure Friesian, then they don't know enough about Friesians for it to even matter. The description clearly labels the horse as a cross and they call Orca a modern Sport Friesian.

what is NASD stand for? he is gorgous regardless if purebred friesian or not, in fact I prefer him over a pure one as they are generally black, with occassional chestnut, my friend had a chestnut friesian. pinto coloring is my coloring for horses. the next is golden palomino and then golden buckskin. somthing about the white black contrast. and behing high headed and high stepping doesn't hurt either. besides vanners may have same lineage as friesians.

it takes 8 hours a day for this acheivement , plus 2 hours cleaning plus once a month visit to the vet, special food and special and lovingly people taking care of him. We do love him . thanks a lot.

I don't know a whole lot about Spotted Draft horses but Friesian have those gaits naturally. Of course they can be improved with training.

@Emura100 Not anymore. I would know, I live in the coutry where Friesians come from. A man in Friesland started breeding black and white Friesians, the most famous one `Bonte Willem´. You´re talking about Friesians in the US, that´s not here though. I´ve never seen a chestnut Friesian though, weird story.
