The Everlasting Man. Tough read, but wow.

Start with his essays. Find the ones that interests you to begin with. Get used to the style before you dive into his larger works. If that’s still too much for you, Dales books are a great introduction.

2:25 Kind of the advise to used wikipedia, but never refer to the article, only to its sources, its footnotes. Confer Chesterton saying he refused to give footnotes that would only lend him an aura of learning beyond his real achievement. Speaking of learning, do you think Finnegan's Wake by Joyce attempts the Stream of Consciousness of the Finnegan in Lots of Fun at Finnegan's Wake? I mean, a man not really did, but thought to be having to overhear all that people close to him chatter ... that's my analysis after hearing all of the song. But N O T reading the book.

3:12 Speaking of Nietzsche, hope none of you takes account of "God of the Gaps" accusations ... including against Fundies. It was Nietzsche and a Scottish Free Church preacher who invented that idea. The latter coining the exact phrase.

Chesterton is uneven. When he on point he's on POINT. But he can be a little bland

I read Chesterton, and seeing as how I am African-American, I don't fancy my race being referred to as the n-word (ala The Everlasting Man). I'm not sure why you all ignore that about him. I have read numerous Christian apologists and never came across such disgusting language toward my people. Thus, I STOPPED READING HIM.
