John 6:66 "From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him." When i got my confirmation, we got quoted this specific verse, and to me is says, that the true destruction of the church is when every single one of our back to Christ and the lord.

Wow, really good conversation. When he was talking about how people treat their kids because they have to give up their distractions! I so agree 1000%! I retired to raise my twins and after years of being tied to a phone and computer at work, I detached myself from electronics for the last 17 years. Many of my friends just can’t understand why I don’t carry a cell phone around in my pocket, answer text within 15 minutes, or hang on social media all the time. People complain about not having time to eat healthy, but they spend hours a day wasting time on electronics.

The Prophet Isaiah (chapter 58): “Share your bread with the hungry, shelter the oppressed and the homeless; clothe the naked; don’t turn your back on your own. Remove from your midst oppression, false accusation and malicious speech.” And the prophet tells us that if we live like that, then: “Your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your own wounds shall quickly be healed. You shall call, and the Lord will answer. You shall cry for help, and he will say: Here I am! Your light shall rise for you in the darkness, and the gloom shall become for you like midday.”

That was a very good argument, but I must interject and say that even if the uterus's purpose is to carry life, pregnancy is not a 'basic state' of human beings. The woman in question is being asked to endure a state of being that is not normal for her, for a situation that she had no say in, and this would indeed qualify for the 'unplugging' herself. Furthermore, while that is biologically her child, she has no obligation towards it, because she isn't the one responsible for putting it in the situation where it requires her body in the first place. That would be like saying that you are responsible for everything that happens to your child after you give it up for adoption. It wasn't really your child 'in spirit' in the first place. This is only in the case of SA. I really think you are going about this the wrong way. You shouldn't make it illegal to have an abortion due to SA, as that could be inflicting double the trauma on the victim. You should offer them a reward for carrying that child to term, such as disability payments for life, or perhaps free therapy and all expenses paid to cover the costs of carrying the child to term.

The last time I was told the world was ending, it was a disappointment. We'd probably soil ourselves if we faced any of the countless world-changing events through which our ancestors toiled & raised families. (And before someone takes issue with the profile pic, St. Augustine said echoed 2 Corinthians 12:9 when he said we're all given sufficient grace to become saints. I assume that includes jokers & outcasts with less-than-perfect pasts.)

MATTHEW 5:38-48: “You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles. Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you.” MATTHEW 5:43-48: “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

Humans repeat behaviours, we stray from God’s teachings and it leads to destruction and ultimately rebirth…is the end really the end as we generally think? Who know’s, I wish there was a great and undeniable sign that woke up the people of the world to God🙏

For those who are tempted to despair… My heart goes out to you… I have actually been tempted at times to do that which we should never do… A wise army priest told me a long time ago… We are not saved by the pope or by our priest or by our neighbor or by our own goodness… We are saved by the love of the unchanging father we have in heaven. Stop and consider this.. If you’re playing a game of baseball… The other team is not going to love you… The other team is going to try to win. Sometimes in a very long Season, The other team can manage to put some of it members on your team… They just changed their jerseys. You can quit because things aren’t going well… Or you can try to fix what’s wrong then go for the World Series. If you’re training for the Navy seals and it becomes too hard, you could ring the bell. When you do that, you’re free to go nobody says anything bad. It’s just all over. DON’T RING THE BELL.
