Thank you Darko! Well, I have been a sailing coach for 15 years and in that time, I've coached several non Greek teams. So yes I could talk on camera. But... I try to keep this about the trees and just the trees, not trying to be a KZbinr, it's not about me. But maybe sometime in the future, nit sure. Have a great day!

Hi my friend,i appreciated so much your styling on this beautiful and particular pine,it wasn't at all easy to thin out the foliage and choose the branches to cut but you managed it very well. I very like cascade style,very compliments for your great job!👏👏👏👏

Beautiful and great video as always :) when did you do the root cutting? i think im the most vigilant working on roots with pines. i had like 3 or 4 die because i took either too much or had the wrong timing, now with all the experience its a lot easier but still im very careful

Thank you! Everything you see, happened the past 2 weeks. I found that all of September and half of October is equally good (if not better) time for repotting pines and junipers (along with oaks and possibly Abies). Cutting roots is indimidatating no matter the time of year. Most important is after care, then there is the matter of the soil you use and of course luck. If a heatwave or a frost hits you within a month if repotting, you may lose the tree. For me and my garden last days of August through mid October is game on!

@ArkefthosBonsai I saw you used only perlite and zeolithe, after doing a lot of experiments I also drifted away of using organic soil with pines, I use a mix of 1/3 each kiryu akadama and perlite, I will try your mix too! Love your content man!
@ArkefthosBonsai
@ArkefthosBonsai Жыл бұрын
@hashiramabonsai thank you!! You absolutely must track down zeolite at 5mm size. It's a wonder. Highest CEC than akadama, with great moisture retaining properties and it just doesn't break down to become a clay brick. Highly recommended.
@hashiramabonsai
@hashiramabonsai Жыл бұрын
@ArkefthosBonsai CEC, just learned something new again thx a ton, always thought akadama has the best water retention, but you're right about the breakdown, I used zeolite before but was smaller then 5mm, I will absolutely buy it! Also I'm experimenting a lot with Sakadama lately! Less water retention then akadama but breakdown takes ages, did you ever try it?
@ArkefthosBonsai
@ArkefthosBonsai Жыл бұрын
@hashiramabonsai zeolite definitely has less water retention than akadama but then again, trees need less water than people give them, most of the time. No haven't tried sakadama. Looks to me like this is like akadama but fired to 600 degrees. So this process has probably created ceramic and glass inside the akadama soil, that's why it lasts longer. But this should come with koss in water retention and CEC. Plus, 3 to 5 years isn't that long. Definitely an improvement for pines though.
