Yes it is. I will be removing as it grows, plus it needs to get out of this ball shape. Thank you!

Thank you for another great video. you found this tree like that? Is it a single tree with multi low branching or many small fused trees? Very unusual and an exceptional tree. I have not seen a P sylvestris like that. Your work is like always stunning. I started a series of multi-trunk JBP (P Thumbergii) I kkeep having problems with some trees dying in the group but have some with 5-6 trunks. So far the trunks have not fused. I started a Acer Palmatum with about 15 small trees. That is doing really well. berst wishes, Mats H

Thank you Mats! It is a single tree with multiple branches that I made as trunks but not all of them will make it into the final design. As the ramification grow, some will be eliminated. Fusing pines will take much longer than maples but the result is always awesome, as the rough bark makes it look natural. Good lick with your fusion projects! What fun! Cheers!

I wouldn't have thought to try a multi-trunk with a Pine - but it's worked!

Thabk you! I'm really interested in how you would have approached this yamadori. I thought of doing approach grafts very low and make a shohin out of it but I decided to do something different.

I love it! You could watch this tree for a very long time and always see something new. Btw are you from Europe somwhere? I really love to follow fellow Europeans cause we have similar schedule in taking care of trees and species available.

Thank you! I feel the same about this tree! I plan to change the shape a lot though, in the next years. I'm from Greece, South, 900m elevation. Cheers!

@@ArkefthosBonsai there's a great potential in that tree, i hope you'll keep us updated. I could never guessed it's Greece, cause i always associate it with coastal regions. 😄 I was in Crete last year, and i saw so many great yamadoris there, mostly wild olives and some mediterranean shrubs...if i was there with my car i would definitely tried to collect few of them. Greetings from Serbia!
@ArkefthosBonsai2 жыл бұрын
Greece is islands and mountains! Good thing you didn't collect since it's illegal to remove anything from the wild! I hope you were on the west side of Crete, since it's by far the best side with amazing beaches! Cheers mate!

@@ArkefthosBonsai I've been in small town called Plakias, i think it's on the southwest side of island. Best vacation ever, nature, hosts, food, weather, all was 10/10! The funny thing is that owner of the apartment told me i can take any wild olive that was growing around, cause they're considered like a weed...😄 and believe me i was tempted, there was so many of them growing on the cliffs, perfect windswept style... But maybe he was thinking on his land only.
@ArkefthosBonsai2 жыл бұрын
That's great! No, probably he has no knowledge of the law... You should probably have tried to take one of his olives and have a great tree remind you of Crete!

I live in Siberia and the pinus sylvestris is the most common tree here. How does it grow in Greece? Isn't it too warm?
@ArkefthosBonsai2 жыл бұрын
Well, pines in general have probably the greatest range of conditions they can exist in. While it is a bit warm for sylvestris in my latitude, I live in 900m altitude, thus all the sylvestris I grow in the ground and in pots are thriving. Besides the native pines, sylvestris is actually the next best thing. Although in the most northern part of Greece, in high altitudes, sylvestris is native. Thank you Dimitri!

Just because you have an orange wristband doesn't mean the tree has to have one! ;-)

He he I was between orange and blue old hose. Thought the orange would look better for the video. Never thought of my wristband until editing... Cheers!
