I dont know about anybody else but Techno Boy you helped me. My dad's Sceptra tv sound sucks so he bought the surround sound. He got sound but no picture then he go pic no sound. Yeah you can use your big speaker with this amp as stereo setup. Select from Dolby effect to stereo mode. Select the front speaker level to max db.

Can you make a video how the SW sound like during SP Setup and how much db should we set our SW? My SW was working when connected to my Sony STR-DE400 but did not work in my Pioneer. I tried reconnecting the SW TO Sony and it's no longer working. Anything I've done wrong? Thanks for the video. And it's normal that it gets hot? My Sony amplifier do not get as hot as the Pioneer VSK-917k.

When you use the test tone, then all the speaker make buzzing noise & sub make heavy humming noise. Set the powered sub volume at max or close to max. Then adjust db from the receiver as you like. Receiver gets hot, its ok. but if it gets too hot in a few mins of usage, then you need to check setup, speaker connections & all. You can mount a 12v fan on the top of the receiver for cooling.

Just to let you know, if you want to save some money take the plug out everytime you dont use the receiver. It is constantly draining 30W of electricity even if its in standby mode.

The hdmi ports on tv just receive the av signal. They dont transmit any signal out. The way i showed is to connect the receiver to a tv on one side & any av source on other side.for example, blue ray or dvd player,laptop,pc etc. This way the amplifier will receive the audio from the source & bypass the video to the tv. Hope its clear to you now. So in your case what you have to do is, remove the hdmi connection. And connect an optical cable if your tv has that option or you can use aux to rca cable. Simply connect any one of this cable to the tv & the receiver, then you can hear all audio from your tv through the receiver. If optical is there then go for it. It will give you better result. Hope i was able to make it all clear. Still if you have any question feel free to ask me.

Hey there! Vsx 822 K. I can hear the SW through the manual test tone menu...but it is literally muted/no sound at all when I'm listening to music. Polk Audio PSW10 connected from SW Pre Out to rca L and R in the back of the SW. It's like it's completely off while music is playing and the test tone makes it rumble the house. SW is selected as YES, not PLUS or NO. What do you think!?

Hi, nice video. I have an older model, VSX-924, which supports 4K and ARC. I've just bought a android TC and I can't get the audio to transmit to my pioneer receiver. Was wondering if you could help me out. My TV has the CEC turned on. On my Pioneer receiver, I have gone to HDMI set up and turned on ARC. However, when I go to Input set up, I don't see the ARC under any input except under TV. But even when I select TV from my remote, no sound. Any idea why?

Hello, I just got this model Pioneer and nothing I do will turn the bass up. I turned the bass up on the bass button and saw it go up to 15. The treble only went up to 6. That is strange. If I turn the bass all the way down , the bass level is the same as when it is all the way up so I know I am doing something wrong. I m using Polk Audio speakers model 10 . I had another older stereo hooked up to it and there was LOTS of bass coming out of the speakers so its not the speakers. CAn you please help ?

Bass treble must have same value. Speaker levels goes up to 15db including subwoofer. This model has bass treble buttons on remote & both goes to 6

Hi, I have a pioneer 423, why does it turn on this mode in Dolby 5.1 mode when watching a movie, I can’t adjust the high and low frequencies? The sound is terrible, it plays only from the center channel, it’s impossible to configure.

I reset the settings, in Dolby mode the digital receiver itself switches to this mode when a signal arrives, in this 5.1 mode you cannot make frequency settings, any settings I make do not affect the sound, why is that?@@technoboy-allinOne

Great video! However, I just did a factory reset on my receiver because I was having issues with it. Now, it's in demo mode and I can't get it to shut off! The manual says that it will shut off automatically once you complete the OSD setup. I can't do that because I no longer have the microphone. Do you know of some other way I can shut off demo mode so that I can actually use this receiver? Any help you could give would be much appreciated.

If Your Receiver Is Reset that means all setup is gone. now you have to set it up again with or without microphone. do it manually

You gotta select dolby pl2 movie or music then you will get 5.1. In some input cases it is selected as 2.1 or stereo by default.

Its probably there in the maual if you have that. Anyway connect the mic to the receiver and mount it on a tripod or stool and put that right at your listening place, on the sofa or other. Now use the remote, go to the setting & start the auto setup. Receiver will do the rest

I had faced the same issue.The reason could be many. Loose speaker connections could be one. And in my case the reason was a loose 2pin connection from main amplifier board to the connecting board. So check all the connections from one kit to another. And the last is the bad controller chip.which needs replacement. Thats the last. But check the others first

Good Afternoon guys. I decided to make a cinema at my home and then I bought a VSX 80 and connected it to an Optama projector and apple tv. Everything was working correctly, but two days ago, after some heavy rains in my city, suddenly it stopped showing the image, transmitting only sound. I tried to remove and put the HDMI to check if it was not bad contact, but it also don’t worked. Does anyone have any possible solution to this problem?

Check for any physical damage on the decoder board.. try resetting the receiver, see if it works

This is an amplifier. It doesnt have mic input. But if you have a mic pre amp then you can connect that to this receiver. Though you purpose is not clear to me.

I had the same problem. For me it was because the speakers and the amps ohm rating were different. Check both and see if they are compatible. Hope this helped 😊

If you can hear test tone then everything is fine. Need little dolby setup.Use dolby pl2 music mode & adjust the level as per your need

I couldn't watch the whole video because of the music, but what I did hear was "if you have large speakers, select large..". This is not necessarily true. This will send most of the bass to your front speakers and not to the sub. If you have a sub, you should probably set the front speakers to small. That's how my 2 polk monitor 50's are setup. It's in the owners manual how they should be set, FYI.

Vsx-534 has mcacc calibration mic. Connect the mic & keep it at your sitting place. And start it from the receiver. It will do the all speaker setup for you.

Please speak more slowly and enunciate. If English is not your first language, that's okay. A lot of watchers may not be first language English. So, all the more important. Consonants need to be much crisper. You have a very helpful video. Just don't get in your own way. For instance, your left thumb is often covering important buttons. Hold it in your left hand and use your index finger to point. Don't say "THINK." It implies you don't know for sure which doesn't seem to be the case. Hello, there is a pioneer vsx 329 model that I am using, I am having a voice problem alone, it detects on the remote control, but when it is put into ac usb mode, tv mode or radio mode, there is no sound from the device and it freezes when it resets.

Well your query is not clear though, but i guess its the decoder chip, its faulty i guess. You can try to make it run using some heat on that chip for few mins.

@@ertangunes2626 open the amplifier top cover. You will see the circuitry & all. You will notice that all the hdmi sockets are mounted on one small circuit board at the top. Check that board carefully. There you will see a big black chip. That chip will be marked with dolby sign & dts logo. You need to heat that chip using a light bulb or hair dryer. Hair dryer maybe a bit risky for you. So try with a light bulb. But before do this thing, clean the amplifier with a brush or a blower.

Bass treble buttons are there on the remote. If you are asking about subwoofer. Well I keep the subwoofer level at 40%. Then control it from the receiver. Increase or decrease the level of sw from receiver setting.

No. Hdmi red light will turn on when you use hdmi source. Else it will stay off. Only the " hdmi" word written on the display screen will blink all the time except when you are using hdmi source, then it will stay on.

Connect all the speakers to the marked sockets at the back. Set up the receiver properly using remote & select proper input.
