PIONEER CABIN TRAIL IN IDAHO'S PIONEER MOUNTAIN RANGE: A MUST DO HIKE IN SUN VALLEY & KETCHUM, IDAHO

Pioneer Cabin Trail is located just miles from Sun Valley and Ketchum Idaho.This hike is one of the best hikes in the Sun Valley and Ketchum area. Pioneer Cabin Trail is a great way to escape the busier downtown and resort feel of Ketchum and Sun Valley. Pioneer Cabin is actually an old ski shack overlooking the Pioneer Mountains in the heart of Idaho. Pioneer Cabin and the surrounding scenery should not be missed if traveling near Sun Valley. This beautiful area is part of the Sawtooth National Forest. Pioneer Cabin Trail is a fairly steep trail but is not technical. It is perfect for trail running or a good old fashion hike. The lush forest, rolling meadows and mountains leading up to Pioneer Cabin are but just a taste of what is to come. Try to time the spring flowers to add to the Pioneer Mountains perfection. A good half day is all you'll need to enjoy this beautiful part of Sun Valley. Make sure to enjoy the town of Ketchum and one of many good restaurants after the day in the mountains.
